Hardly surprising. I had a look on GoogleEarth and the only signage appears to be on the bridge itself, by which time there is no alternative apart from reversing back. Perhaps if motorists started doing that, the subsequent chaos that would ensue would get the council to sort it out.

When the experts altered the traffic flows in York a few years back, the very poor signage was causing a lot fines being issued for the same reasons, and there was a lot of complaints, which the city fathers ended up having to repay most of moneysurprised

Wow that's a lot of nights away, how many miles did you cover on your travels.

Posted on 09/02/2019 10:28

From   5th May ,when I started checking towing miles with the "new to us"auto until 2nd January this year it was 2059 miles, with the white box on the hook mostly in England ,with one annual trip to Tredeger house  to visit friends in Barry

Our cat wouldn't like it...(if we went away too much.) It costs £9 a day in the cattery so that curbs our style. wink

Same here brue. We have 2 cats which means a hefty bill!!

Thank you so much for your good wishes. Sadly even with lots of positive thought it didn't stop the news. We learned he needs a triple bypass, double whammy for him cos they suggested yesterday he came come home today.

He's to stay in Broomfield while they do all tests etc for the op. This may take a week or 2 and obviously we need a slot. Absolutely shattered, I feared this after yesterday but very different when you hear the words spoken aloud. I believe the 'upside' is it should be quick because he is in hospital.

Just got indoors haven't opened a birthday or present, well one came today but I didn't realise it was a card! Can't keep putting it off by no stomach for it.

So sorry to hear the news Bakers2.  Hopefully they will do the operation soon so that her can get on the road to recovery.  Best wishes to you both.

There seem to be so many people I know, both online and personally, who are ill at the moment.  Good wishes to all for a speedy recovery.

Enjoy Sri Lanka Moulsey....

We have time specified bus lanes in our town. Judging by the folks in and out of them at various times of the day, they are not working well. On the plus side, there don’t appear to be any Camera checks going on, and no policemen to enforce them, so it’s a bit of a free for all.

We also have lots of 20 metre stretches of bike lane, which residents can park over, we have three lane ring roads that suddenly become two lanes round a roundabout and places where it is forbidden to turn either left or right so you have to do a long detour round other roads!

Other towns get the qualified traffic planners. We get either the Uni drop outs or the still on work experience. It’s a spectator sport at times watching new visitors trying to work things out. Spot the policeman is another Summer Special. As is watching locals with dropped suspension negotiate all the hundreds of humps and cushions.🤣🤣🤣

Had a walk down the beach this morning, dry and bright but very windy.  Waves crashing on to the beach and breakwater, exhilarating:
