Been thinking about this bit of my post

She's apprehensive - first trip on her own, son around til Sunday, found myself typing bring your washing if you want 😂😂😂😂😲😲😲.

I must add he's chief cook, bottle washer,  laundry king and tidier (not that you'd always be able to tell on the latter,  better now they have a cleaner 😉). So it wasn't that he wouldn't cope - I trained both my children well as their dad had been 👍. All jobs are shared. Only exceptions, at present, is toilet cassette emptying in the motorhome. Too heavy to carry for me, but I have a plan incase I do have to do it 😂😂.

Wish SIL had had the same training 😤sealed

Our DIL has to travel B2, she enjoys it but gets fed up with hotel rooms in distant places, hope it all works out for yours. That leaves our son running the "shop" at home quite often, but he's enjoyed a bit of break over the last few months here with us.

Liked the link OP gave for Nellie's post.

Lovely sunshine here, final packing for son and grandson about to happen, a very empty house later but then we're off soon so it will be my turn to pack. smile

Oh brue you long for the time the house will be your own again, but the reality takes quite a bit of getting used to as everywhere remains as you left it and the silence 😉. Good you have a trip to look forward to. Be lovely for their family to be back together again. Is the house theirs now?

Our DIL2B farms so when the weather's right the hours go in 😂. Son gets to do his bit at busy times as well as his job and house duties. It's usually our son who leaves her home alone. She was apprehensive as has never travelled abroad alone, but great honour and real feather in her cap to be chosen to represent the next generation.

I loved the live link, so much so I looked up their tour, 3 we could make but no ticket info yet 😲 so I've signed up for email updates.

No wheels on my wagon but I'll roll along! We have a small lightweight trolley used for transporting files folds flat, great piece of kit.

re The Young ‘Uns - I highly recommend you buy the albums, especially the one from last year - “Strangers”- and put it on repeat!

Lovely surprise son and grand dog arrived 2pm, we thought about 3.30pm. Took dog to work so didn't have to return home, opposite direction. Able to have a lovely walk in the sun at the local estate 😁😁. Much warmer than I thought so had to stick to the shade as overdressed 🤣🤣. Son said how late did you send text this morning? About 0815 says I. Already at work so didn't bring washing phew! Didn't know he wasn't going home after.
