Light rain showers first thing in Wiltshire but they'd passed through by 9:00 then the sun came out, but it was still cool. Saw 2 more Kingfishers on my walks along the canal before we left our site. Moved on up to Cheltenham in fine weather and now a clear sky and a forecast for overnight temperatures below freezing again.

Goldie, don't know if you've seen these guys perform, but I do like this version of "A Place called England".

We have however just bought a little classic 25 year old camper which is a short wheelbase we intend to use it for days out as it is car sized so easy to park.

Francis, we met quite a few of the small campers pulling caravans when we were last away, having spoken to a number of them the majority said they just use the camper at home for day trips (some where fishermen) seems to give the best of both worlds. Hope you have fun with it.

However we are seriously thinking of downsizing to something like a PVC which I think would give us the opportunity to get out and about. All I know is without a car we get a lot more exercise that we would with one!

David, at one time we wouldn't have though about a PVC but we are gradually coming round to them. It would be so much easier to go around Scotland and do the islands but also give us the comfort for travelling around Europe out of season. Neither of us wants to go back to a Coachbuild. However we are both enjoying having a ' nice' car again and the caravan has not be a problem. Exercise is something we get loads of with or without a car wink and hope that it will last for a long time to come.

JVB66, as long as you are managing and enjoying your time away that's the important thing, from your posts you certainly get away often, even in rubbish weather wink

Had a strange experience with my smart phone today. I was using the compass app but put the phone down and thought nothing of it. When I picked it up about an hour later it was exceptional hot. I think because it was an app that was constantly working it had over heated the phone. Hopefully it would have run out of charge before any serious damage occurred!!!

They do get warm at times! I left mine on a ledge in MH while I was sat outside in sunshine. Sun had come round and was shining directly onto it, was very hot to touch!

Love them!

We've seen them several times. Brilliant songs and harmonies, and David Eagle is a loose cannon (in the nicest possible way).

I've got all their albums, but live is best!

Strange that David as a lot of Apps run constantly ‘in the background’ with no apparent ill effect.

My phone has got very hot a couple of times, I have it in a wallet case and could feel it through that 😲. No apps open but maybe running the background. I took the battery out. It's been fine since. I can see why the planes are so conscious of them falling between seats etc 😲😲

Went to local Odeon last night for NT live, Alan Bennett's Alleujah. Notice on the screen door, no heat boiler broken if you wish to leave in first 20 minutes full refund. Not ideal as it's a one off but an acknowledgement and redress on offer. Could have booked at the 'new' Everyman but couple of quid more and further to walk, so had the 'posh' seats. Mistake they were really upright and uncomfortable, didn't help OH's dodgy back. Thought the sound quality wasn't good in first half but I think it's that cinema don't often go as far too loud! Certainly wasn't the case last night 😲

That aside BRILLIANT, very thought provoking and typical Alan Bennett. 170 mins including the interval, never looked at the time in either half.

Glad of the walk home, in the dry but cold air, it rained as we walked down. Didn't remove our coats and my dressy scarf was draped over my legs, brrr.

After almost 24 hours non stop rain, not heavy but shower and damp in between we have awoken to a frost and beautiful sun 🌞. Son and grand dog arrive later, dog staying as DIL2B off to Canada on Royal Commission for Agriculture next generation. She's apprehensive - first trip on her own, son around til Sunday, found myself typing bring your washing if you want 😂😂😂😂😲😲😲.

Milliehull hope all goes well for your OH.

Wherenext, some years are the pits- sorry you're having one this year.

Best to all of you, read so many posts I can't remember who/what/where 😉 I'll have to make notes 😂. Enjoy your day folks ☀️
