Had a walk this morning then this afternoon went to Sezincote House and did the house tour.

The weather was lovely while we were there, then as we came away it started to rain. Got back to the caravan and it was dry here - not rained at all.

Half an hour later, the heavens opened!

Sell, re van weights, ours is not much heavier than your so hopefully we'll attain similar fuel consumption as yourself.

Write your comments here...Guess it will be a little bit less as you have gone for the auto.

We will find out in due course. How much milage did you put in before towing for the first time with the D4?

Write your comments here...Was approx 800 miles, no reason for this it was just the first opportunity we got due to work, are you going for the volvo fitted towbar or are you sorting your self with a independant fitter ? i went for the Volvo detachable.

Same here. We are taking the benefit of the 10% discount offered for being a CC member., did you?

Write your comments here...No didnt realise they had a offer, oh well that £75 lost

Got the discount on the winter pack, the spacesaver  wheel, and the auto gearbox too, and free upgrade to metallic paint!!Laughing
Certainly save me a fair amount.

I think it's generally accepted now that there's no need to put miles on the clock before towing. LR don't stipulate it these days. If in doubt, consult the handbook.

I don't have the handbook, as we don't get the vehicle till Sept, or I would do that. I thought that there was no longer any need to run the car in, as we used to have to do, but it's better to check with those who have a similar car.

Write your comments here...Nellie i will check my manual tomorrow and see if there is anything mention in it.

Thanks, SELL. Will be interested in what you find.

Busy day today. Completed the cleaning of the outside of the caravan, which I started yesterday only to be rained off. Back to the dentist this afternoon and had filling redone. Hope it last a bit longer than last time.

Then this evening, after watching the football, booked 4 more sites for our next trip and also sent a couple more enquiries. Hopefully I'll get responses tomorrow and then will only have about 8 nights to book to complete our summer tour.

Write your comments here...nellie have checked the towing section of my handbook and there is no mention anywhere about having to put any mileage on vehicle before you start towing.

Just been told that Worthing have implemented a ban on m/vans in some areas because of complaints ,no more info as yet

Write your comments here...There are a few parked around Broadwater Green. They never seem to move.

Write your comments here...I think the problem with Broadwater Green is that there's a limited amount of parking available especially during the day and if motorhomes and caravans take up the spaces, there's not enough room for cars to park. That could be the reason why people have complained.

Afternoons are particularly difficult. There's many a time I've tried to find somewhere to park the car whilst waiting for the next delivery and there are just no spaces available.

It can be better on weekends unless there's a cricket match on.
