I think it's generally accepted now that there's no need to put miles on the clock before towing. LR don't stipulate it these days. If in doubt, consult the handbook.

I don't have the handbook, as we don't get the vehicle till Sept, or I would do that. I thought that there was no longer any need to run the car in, as we used to have to do, but it's better to check with those who have a similar car.

Of course it is, Nellie. Why not ring the dealership and have a chat with a technician or service manager?

Sell, re van weights, ours is not much heavier than your so hopefully we'll attain similar fuel consumption as yourself.

Write your comments here...Guess it will be a little bit less as you have gone for the auto.

We will find out in due course. How much milage did you put in before towing for the first time with the D4?

Write your comments here...Was approx 800 miles, no reason for this it was just the first opportunity we got due to work, are you going for the volvo fitted towbar or are you sorting your self with a independant fitter ? i went for the Volvo detachable.

Same here. We are taking the benefit of the 10% discount offered for being a CC member., did you?

We got something over 20% off ours.......but I guess you have to do the best deal you can at the time.

We went for a walk this morning, then this afternoon we went to Sudeley Castle.

Arrived in sunshine, left in rain. The story of this week......
