It's good to hear that members of CT are receiving their vaccinations, good luck to all those yet to have theirs. It seems like a long haul till we get everyone sorted and hear the results of the present vaccines.

I'm leaving this open for non political comments as per the guidelines. Hope you can add your own experiences and thoughts.

My first jab comes up tomorrow, I'm so glad we have research institutions that have got us this far! And I am planning breaks away in the hope of improvements on the horizon.

May be your anti-vaxer thought that if she accepted the jab she would get a singing voice like your Polish vaccinator, LLM.laughing

I wonder about these Anti-vaxxers undecided.

If they regularly stand outside the Vaccination Sites and see hundreds of  customers coming and going without even the faintest sound of sirens etc then, surely, it must put their beliefs under extreme pressure, must it not ??

Be warned.  Have needle will travel and jab.  I have yet to be asked but all I need is a couple of heavies, a clerk and we could be knocking on your door  "offering" a jab.  Now, back to the present.  After the Port should the digestive be Brandy, Almagnac, Cognac, or Calvados? Decisions, decisions, decisions 😜.

Not sure I'd be trusting your backroom staff though, LLM, as keen and efficient as they might seem to be !!.

Today I got a phone text from NHS telling me to get my Booster jab sorted, pronto.  Wouldn't have minded too much but I was B-Jed nearly two months ago !

I am suffering from what was a bad dose of a cold?,not so bad now ,sore throat ,headacre gone, bit of a cough still,, and when i did my daily report to Imperial college ,i was asked to have a drive through test at a local centre ,which i managed to get at a local centre this morning,at 0830   would be only have to leave OH for a short period,

This morning i get a text telling me my appointment is cancelled as the centre is closed ,the nearest  centre is now Stevenage ,which would mean at least two hours leaving OH,not an option

If i have a postal test it may arrive tomorrow? undecided

I think they are probably sending  them out to everyone . I also received one yesterday, also the OH and several others we know. It’s probably easier for them that way, as those sending them won’t have access to who has been jabbed or not.

Nail on head I suspect, but I'm sure there will be some who will complain and others who will be confused laughing and possibly some both.

OH and I both had the texts, too. I think it's clear it is going to everyone as part of the big push. The wording was quite generalised and didn't say anything along the lines of "you are due a booster.....".

I got the text as well but Margaret hasn't?  I assume they are trying to be economic with the wording but it wouldn't hurt just to add, please ignore if already actioned?
