Well, I waited until it went live. Where do l start ? UTTER PANTS best describes my experience.  The queuing system failed to direct me where I wanted to go, I ran out of battery trying to search CLs and to cap it my wife's smart phone "is not compatible with the CAMC app ". sealed

I think this DOB panic is growing out of control. Metrics in myriad forms are there for a reason, ignore them or abuse them at your own peril. They are part of the ‘memorables’ package there as a layer of security along with many other facets. Getting into a frenzy re one part of it is not helping anything. I use all my facts & truly hard to guess passwords ie not Fido or Whiskers. DOB is just another bunch of numbers. The Bogey man needs way more to steal your ID👍🏻

DOB Is a sensitive and important  piece of information with significant risks when combined with other personal data should it fall into the wrong hands . I only put the correct dates in when its obviously necessary. Organisations should think twice before collecting it for no very good reason.

You are right David if they have your name your date of birth will open another avenue to collect your details

Not really, JV. DOB is a matter of public record but the time to start worrying is when they ask for your NI number🙂

The time to worry would be be when you could tell themcool

I really should worry then as I know both mine and OHs as I have had to give them so many times these last couple of yearssurprised

Landline number I can remember but for the life of me not my mobile number I have to look it up every timeundecided

Many who need it have it on their screens and ask it it the number they should use ,as it triggers something when I am askedcool

The other thing I do is if they ask for a landline I put in an STD code followed by six zeros

Posted on 26/11/2022 10:42

I do that if they insist on a mobile!
