the club need to check the pricing. On searching Treamble Valley the from price was totally different to the cheapest cost which was in October for one person and pitch.

There may have been 3 levels. I don'tr have the info. But there was a price around Christmas, then a lower price, then a raised price around Easter then a lower price  ..... etc.

here has long been a myriad of pricing periods.

Not actually fact, ET. I have the 2017/2018 site directory in front of me as I type and there are 3 levels of prices only for most sites, and some have only 2. There were no 10p differences that I can see, then!!

Posted on 05/01/2019 22:09

That was two years ago prices, hence the good idea of not including site prices in the latest directory,

It's not about the prices per se, but about the change to additional pricing levels and some of them differing by as little as 10p pn that is ridiculous!!

I really could not be concerned about such irrelevancies Nellie. This week it is £18.60. Next week it is £18.90. So what is my view. Maybe if there is an actual difference in site usage they could have set both weeks at £18.80. So what Nellie?

That's not the same point as you made earlier, Harry -

"I am not aware that they consulted the members"

Consulting and listening are two different things.

Sorry, I don’t follow your last sentence. What is it you believe a lot of members are asking?

Posted on 05/01/2019 22:39

Looks like you may have mis-interpreted my post.

I said, "It would be nice to know why the club thought it necessary to change the system. I am not aware that they consulted the members" You may have quoted me out of context by not relating to the sentence before.

Quite simply I was asking why the club found it necessary to make the change of leaving out the site prices. As a member I am allowed to ask questions. The second part of the quote was a personal statement from me simply stating that if they had consulted on leaving out the prices, then I wasn't aware of it.

My last sentence, and I'm not going to trawl back through all the posts, relates to what members have talked about in this past, but from what I recall a lot just ask to be listened to

Cheers. It’s so easy to have our words misunderstood by others and assume we're on the same wavelength.

It seems I am joining the increasing band of "members" who are not happy with the way the "pricing structure" is presented in the new directory.

1. The vast majority are couples so why have the club not advertised a price for 2 people? There can always be a reduction for a single person or an increase for a family of 4.

2. Its complicated having to work out mid-week prices and seasonal prices.

3. can someone please explain why multiple occupancy is more expensive of a site without toilet and shower facilities? does more grass get trodden down by a multiple occupancy caravan compared to a single? Heating a tank of water for one is the same cost as heating a tank so I doubt more electric is being used?

If members aren't happy with the clubs network may I suggest they visit the ACSI website where there are many sites offering a damn sight more that the CC sites.

In my view its time for a change at the top as the club has lost its focus on its core membership and instead seems hellbent on selling insurance of just about every form.

I'm reasonably content personally

The price is 'from' and I guess one member is the lowest 'from' price

2. Its complicated having to work out mid-week prices and seasonal prices.

I think that there are many that like mid week discounts and can fo the arithmetic if they really wish to.

3. can someone please explain why multiple occupancy is more expensive of a site without toilet and shower facilities?

More waste, more sewage, more water

If members aren't happy with the clubs network may I suggest they visit the ACSI website where there are many sites offering a damn sight more that the CC sites.

Well I certainly don't want 'a damn sight more than the CC sites'. If you do then it appears that you have the solution. I have no idea
