the club need to check the pricing. On searching Treamble Valley the from price was totally different to the cheapest cost which was in October for one person and pitch.

We get the message. You just LOVE Club sites.

As for me I don't like the rules, the regimented line up, the no bar/no cafe/ no shop/ no meals set up, the 12 noon scamper, the silence, and now the prices.

I'm outembarassed

LOVE might be overstating and especially with capitalisation ET.

It does seem that what your want from a site - bar, cafe, shop, meals are  what I definitely things that I don't want. I don't need silence but happy with quiet and birdsong including the crows roosting.

Not sure if by 12 noon scamper you mean departure? But if so I will have left well before.

I find little difference between CC prices and similar UK sites. Can't say that the rules bother me. I simply carry on as I wish which probably is generally in line with the rules and so not a consideration

If your default position is that you will always chose to stay on  a CAMC site and consider AS / Independent  / C&CC  sites if there is not one in the area you wish to visit, then there is no "problem".

I'll make it simple for you. There are not 17 'bands in reality. There are 4 bands plus, the advantage of mid week discounts.

So as you say not a problem but, for you, an irritation?

How patronising. In turn, I will make it simple for you:  it was not I who mentioned 17 price bands. The example I gave was drawn from looking at page 7 of  the price list, which I have downloaded.

The lack of clarity I found there was irritating, to me, and I gave up considering those sites. But I am not a fan of Club sites and look for one only when there is no other which will suit. You may consider them to be good value. On the whole, I do not.

How patronising.

Indeed it was and intentionally so as I felt your post to which I responded to be patronising.

I found no lack of clarity as the prices are given.

If you are not a fan of clubsites I suppose they would be a last option perhaps and fair enough.

In which case, I apologise if that was how my post read as that was NOT my intention.

However, I point out again, that it was not I who made reference to 17 price bands, so that part of your intentionally patronising response was incorrect.

Sorry Deleted User if I saw a slight where none was intended and I therefore appologise also. I know it was not you who mentioned 17 price bands - just a convenient reference on my part.

If CAMC can't be bothered to make the price of their product clear and readily accessible, why should I waste my time even considering buying it?

The prices are clear but if you don't wish to use them you should look for a good reason such as the end price and not just a made up one CY

Posted on 04/01/2019 17:20

I don't recall making up "any" price, merely drawing attention to the inordinately complex pricing structure that is further obscured by not even having the courtesy/courage to print them in the handbook.

Perhaps they are operating on the "Rolls Royce" maxim - if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it.
