the club need to check the pricing. On searching Treamble Valley the from price was totally different to the cheapest cost which was in October for one person and pitch.

Would it attract new family members? This is where the current drive is, towards “adventure” and however else they term it. No it wouldn’t.

It matters not a jot to the current ageing membership with time on their hands and less variables to consider, but as “pricing” is one of the bedrocks of successful marketing, they are running the Grand National, let alone a hurdle race! Meanwhile, families are happily elsewhere, bar a few grandchildren happily towed along by existing members.

I presume that customers, of whatever age, are likely to consider what the bottom line price is and what the site offers them in terms of value.

Well, for me, the reason that CC sites are first choice is that they offer the 'value' that I want at a price that I am happy with. I care not how they arrive at that price

We get the message. You just LOVE Club sites.

As for me I don't like the rules, the regimented line up, the no bar/no cafe/ no shop/ no meals set up, the 12 noon scamper, the silence, and now the prices.

I'm outembarassed

I would hope you presume right Alan but I doubt its universal among all  members to consider value. I as you know rarely use club sites but have for a some years been using sites in striking distance of Portsmouth for morning ferries. Two years ago I priced the usual sites for almost a week before Easter and found that my overnight stay was going to be over £32 for little more than a parking spot and a shower.

I considered that least £10 more than it was worth and whilst I can afford it I looked elsewhere and found a very pleasant a CL, spacious hard standings with views and well maintained grounds  (short of only the shower) otherwise much nicer than a club site at £15 and that is now my default .

Would you care to share the name /location of the CL AD..I too am a little miffed at paying £30+ for same reasons...
