the club need to check the pricing. On searching Treamble Valley the from price was totally different to the cheapest cost which was in October for one person and pitch.

Looe Club site has 47 ever changing price bands through the year- and some of  them just last 2 days.

Is that a record? Who can find a site with more price changes than that?

There is clearly ample space for rationalisation. Four bands low, mid and high season plus a Bank Holiday premium. It could be simplified further by leaving the person charge the same and merely amending the pitch fee. Sites could be equally graded into groupings - honeypot, mainstream, remote. The current setup seems to be an exercise in obsfucation for the sake of it.

If CAMC can't be bothered to make the price of their product clear and readily accessible, why should I waste my time even considering buying it?

At a quick scan there appear to be 4 price bands in reality. The other entries in the pricing table are simply to account for the midweek pitch discount which seems totally reasonable. Do you suggest that they do away with the mid week discounts to make it simpler for anybody that feels challenged?

The prices are clear but if you don't wish to use them you should look for a good reason such as the end price and not just a made up one CY

Same reply as to ET. There are about 4 bands and the extra entries are for mid week discount.

I can see the situation BB. What I cannot see is any problem

If your default position is that you will always chose to stay on  a CAMC site and consider AS / Independent  / C&CC  sites if there is not one in the area you wish to visit, then there is no "problem".

I'll make it simple for you. There are not 17 'bands in reality. There are 4 bands plus, the advantage of mid week discounts.

So as you say not a problem but, for you, an irritation?

Would it attract new family members? This is where the current drive is, towards “adventure” and however else they term it. No it wouldn’t.

It matters not a jot to the current ageing membership with time on their hands and less variables to consider, but as “pricing” is one of the bedrocks of successful marketing, they are running the Grand National, let alone a hurdle race! Meanwhile, families are happily elsewhere, bar a few grandchildren happily towed along by existing members.

....but no MWD at the 6 band, 15 changes Henley...just complexity and penny pinching.

i can see CY's 'simplistic' banding looking far more .....well, simple....but if the club remain obsessed with hiking up prices for short term, Bank Holiday linked periods, will still be into multiple changes..

however, when bands vary by just 10p it makes you wonder why that band exists at all.....

im sure there can only be one answer...

In life, irritations and situations can become problems if they persist, I doubt the club would really want members to thinking thus....
