The Club have released more details of the new Booking System here

There are still finer details still to be arrived but the link (thanks Harry) sets out how the new system will work.

I have closed the previous thread on when we will get details of the new booking system and opened this one to allow comments specifically on the new system rather than discussing what they might be.

A move to ANPR at some point?

The commercial site we used last week had this.
The commercial site we are using at New Year has this.

no barrier fobs, keys etc and with most commercials requiring a deposit, a balance payment and a pitch selection/allocation prior to arrival, there ain't a lot for reception to do....wave?

Unless a site is particularly public I don't see the need for all these locked doors, doesn't often happen elsewhere

Apart from radar keys for the less mobile members facilities  I have not noted locks on sites that do not have problems with other than site users

No disabled needing a radar key,?

I don't go in 'disabled toilets' so I don't know...but if, like you, someone had their own key then no problem...nor would it be if they were left unlocked like the mail facilities...folk just go into whichever area they feel they need to...

Unfortunately BB, there are a minority of perfectly able-bodied people who would take advantage of an unlocked disabled room, and possibly leave a disabled person in distress.

On sites, many disabled rooms also double as family bathrooms, and contain the full range of facilities, thus providing a user with their own all-in-one bathroom.

On a site in East Anglia my OH wanted the facilities as she now needs support  to help her,,at this site I took her to the facilities ,,where I normally wait outside for her ,with the radar key to get access if needed.  she has instructions not to lift the inside handle to lock the door,

On this occasion  it was in use already ,another lady offered to take her to the assisted toilet in the ladies toilets. ,while I waited outside

While waiting a Young couple came out of the facilities that showed in use.

The woman said they always showered together and they got the radar key on line to give them accessyell
