Sites with Fully Serviced Pitches - a Discussion

Sometime ago, someone on the forum, produced a list of the locations of sites with Fully Serviced Pitches. Fully serviced pitches are now pretty well essential to me, due to a back condition. I need to minimise any lifting.

I realise now I should have printed a copy of the post, but didn't, as I could always look it up. Try as I may now, I cannot find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The new Affiliated Love2Stay site at Shrewsbury has all pitches fully serviced, including chemical waste. From observing what happens when the two seperate drain points are used, they appear to go into the same pipe. So perhaps more sites have that facility and just don't know it.

So if pitches with electricity, fresh water, grey drain and black drain are "fully serviced" what do we call those with only the first three?

Thank you for your post Navigateur.  I'll check the sticky with the list of full serviced pitches and I'll add Love2Stay, if it's not already there.

Regards

I've now checked, Navigateur and Love2Stay is already listed in the sticky.  Do keep any other additions and amendments coming.

Best wishes

What I cannot understand is people who pay the extra for the serviced pitch and then still use the Aquaroll and wastemaster?

I think this has been covered fairly well here and elsewhere. There are several reasons. We just used a waste hose and filled the aquaroll, when we first started. Just to try it out and see if it was worth the expense of going for the full set up. It is obviously a lot easier to empty waste and fill the aquaroll on a service pitch, so the person might have just fancied a break. It might have been the only type of pitch they could get.

Plus a bit less common, but if it is likely to freeze on the last night, I detackle and go back onto the standard system. Having once spent hours getting a frozen system disconnected. Never again.☹️

It is of course all down to personal choice, and it is their money.😀

Hi everyone.

I have spent this evening updating my list of Caravan Club (CC) and Affiliated Sites (AS) that have Full Serviced pitches.  After the site name, the numbers e.g. (8/28) means 8 serviced pitched out of a total of 28 pitches etc, but these are numbers I found on the CC website in 2013, so they will be out of date.  The current website does not state the number of Full Serviced Pitches. The sites in Italics are Affiliated Sites - these pitches cannot be booked on the CC website - the site must be contacted separately.

Please check all details yourself before booking.  If anyone should spot any errors please let me know and I will update this list.

If you click on the site name, the site details should open in another tab.  Hope this will be more useful - here goes:

As of February 2017

  • Dornafield AS, nr Newton Abbot, Devon (119/135 Super Serviced and Serviced Pitches)
  • The Firs CC Site, Belper, Derbyshire (24/78 – some Service Pitches are on grass)
