Vastly Improved Site with peaceful ambience.

Bearsted Club Campsite
Peaceful and very well presented site run by Troy and his team. The site was neat and tidy and I feel it is much better when the centre grass section isn't being used, but of course this means less pitches. It is a fairly small site with hard standings around a square, the site team are in the process of making a biodiversity border between the hard standing pitches which back onto the grass pitches. There are walks to Leeds Castle probably a couple of miles, but note, these footpaths does not cover any access to the castle and any attractions, with a nice pub in Leeds village, and another walk to a country park called the Bearsted Woodland trust, but you are walking on the busy A20. Maidstone town centre is a couple of miles out of the site, there is a bus stop as well for people who do not want to drive. All in all we had a very pleasant stay.

Another peaceful stay

Bearsted Club Campsite
We couldn't rate this site more highly. Andy and Troy make you feel welcome and instantly leap into action if you need their help with anything. The site is picturesque with flowers and plants, the pitches are very well kept and the toilet blocks spotless. We stay here regularly and are never disappointed. it has a friendly and relaxing atmosphere; we will definitely be back soon.

Thank you and Happy New Year!!

Bearsted Club Campsite
We have stayed here over the years with a caravan and family of 4 and as most recently (30- 31/12/2023) with a 7m motorhome (couple of mature campers). We arrived on site at about 7.30pm on 30/12 and were welcomed with open arms and were given a pitch on hardstand. We paid for a standard pitch but because of some campers extending their stay and being un-contactable by the wardens we were put on a fully serviced pitch with no fuss and no extra charge. It was obviously dark on arrival so we plugged in and settled down for a super quiet night sleep. Fantastic. 31/12/2023 we woke and left site to visit the very convenient Leeds Castle. Despite weather we had a nice time. Back to site at about 3.30pm so we could now see our surroundings which were meticulously cared for. Grass, bushes, gravel pitch and even ccep and bins were perfect and very tidy. Didn't use showers or toilets as our on board facilities are good enough but from previous visits a trip to the shower block has always been a pleasure. Around early evening a knock on the motorhome door. What could this be? To our delight it was the site warden wishing us a happy new year and handing us a fantastic party bag with chocolates, mince pies, a mini irish cream drink, happy new year glasses and most impressivey a hand written card from the 2 wardens. What a lovely personal touch! In conclusion - the site is well maintained and as good as perfect. Pitches are spacious. Faclilties are A1. And most importantly, the wardens are amazing. Above and beyond - well done and thank you both xxx.

Lovely site, recommended even with poor weather

Bearsted Club Campsite
We were looking for somewhere to go and most of the country seemed to be at a risk of floods, it had been very wet and windy. We found the Bearsted site and couldn't believe that it actually looked perfect even in wet conditions. It is set out exactly as the picture shows, hard standings of a reasonable size with small grass areas between, beautifully clean and tidy with centrally placed facilities for collecting water, emptying waste and even facilities for Motorhome emptying. Staff so helpful and welcoming, helped us to become members and explained all the things we needed to know It was quiet, mainly older folks. The facilities are exceptional, clean, bright and well looked after. Plenty of hot water. This was the beginning of November so it may be different in better weather and in the summer. Even though we had tremendous downpours and some strong wind the site did not become waterlogged and it was still a pleasure to walk around. There is a shop on site with basic essentials and a few camping supplies. There are plenty of places to visit, by car, on the North Kent coast and it was pleasant to drive around, sometimes in the rain, sometimes in the sun. We visited most of the coastal towns and also Mister Abbey, Reculver towers and the Isle of Sheppey where we watched model yacht racing. lots of good facilities run by Swale council. Manston Air Museum was a good stop over. We easily extended our stay for a further two nights, also because it was not already busy and booked up.
