Been away for a long weekend in the van on a CL.

We passed 2 club sites and 2 other cl's on the way to our destination, none of which were showing any form of the new signage.

Rebranding's going well then wink

Wardens uniforms or PPE will no doubt be part of their pay and conditions so will be issued every 12 months of course there will be an extra cost of setting up the new logo to be embroided on the uniform

When I was working my PPE was issued as and when required. Some items lasted several years, some only a day.

We were watching the warden "trying" the new signs in place? a good bit of advance "planning"by the "rebrand ?" dept,as the new signs are not the same dimentions,so they are not direct replacements, all the mountings seem to have also to be altered? clever or what?undecided,

sounds like a c**k up to me......and I guess some university graduate with a degree in sales and marketing was paid thousands for his ideas....money well spent....One of the basics I learnt in my sales carer was that you cannot sell anything to anyone unless they have a need for it, and it was up to me find a need for them to want it....... So I ask was there a need for the change within the club?SG2

quote direct from cl owner at easter......."I refuse to use the new signs until they make me"...........I would not be suprised if said cl owner does not leave the"club" and maybe go commercial or c and cc .

If there are motor caravan owners who do not know they can join a caravan club because it does not have this specific "motorhome" word in its title should they actually be out in public without being in the charge of a responsible adult?

It would seem the chaps who backpack, tent, trailer tent, camper van, etc have a bit more savey about them.

Just back from St Davids, even the 5mph signs have been rebranded. What was  revealing that last week was a school holiday. There were no more than half a dozen kids on site and those seem to be with grandparents. The site offers kids discounts and there is a brand new super play area. Immediately adjacent is a commercial site. It was full with a mix of Vans, M/H and tents. The place has heaving with kids, enough to make up football teams. I dont know what the fee structure was for next door but it certainly appealed to families. What I ask is, why did the HO tea drinkers waste our monies on rebranding whilst apparently ignoring the need to recruite younger generations? The CC site was occupied by us golden oldies.

At the weekend I was enjoying a coffee with some of my family in a local cafe when I noticed that there was something different about the small Co-op supermarket opposite.  We discussed this for ages until we realised the difference was the corporate colour had been changed from green to blue. Signs, logos, all the branding, frames for the poster advertisments, etc had all stayed exactly as before but the colour was now different.

Perhaps someone has moved on from The Caravan Club . . . ?

I think enough has been said about the "new tulip in a vase" signs without me repeating past posts, but on a recent visit to Abbey Wood there was something missing on entering the site,I rememebered later it was the large Centenary block engraved with the customary Red Pennant and Abbey Wood name.

Surely one of the best advertisement or branding marques now banished forever.

I can't figure out why it has been done we have been told we are moving forward with a new name & logo but in the next breath we are told its the same old club and nothing has changed. Talking to our friends who have motorhomes they would have preferred the money spent on more motorhome service points than a rebrand that appears not to be a rebranded or is it? I must admit that when our kids were young we went to the commercial sites.
