Welcome to the Caravan and Motorhome Club.

Ever since we came together as a group of outdoor enthusiasts 110 years ago, our Club has continued on a journey of discovery. It's time for us to make some changes for the better by redefining who we are to help you get the most of the great outdoors.

I’m sure you all have lots of questions, please post your feedback and queries in this thread.

What does our new logo mean? We created a video to explain how we created it:

I've been a member of the Caravan Club for 108 years now. I originally started camping in an Hessian Sack for many years where I met my first of five wifes on an holiday to Scunthorpe before we bought our first tent, We've had Ridge Tents and Frame Tents, we've had prop up, pop up and even blow up tents before buying our first trailer tent. We then moved onto Caravans, Folding and  Pop-Up at first and then normal 2 berth, 3 berth, 4 berth and even a 7 1/2 berth. We are now the proud owners of a luxury Motorhome and the point I wanted to make now eludes me. Thank you šŸ˜œ

Hessian sacks???  You were lucky  We used to dream of a hessian sack. When I started in 1066 you were fortunate to sleep in the skin of a recently dead sheep. And then the bloody Normans kept shooting arrows at you

Perhaps there is a need now for a new club made up of CL owners and the people who want to stay on them. Nothing fancy, just a yearly handbook with a map, and a wee website which lets you book any of the CLs.

Dead sheep! You were lucky. We had to skin caterpillars on site and stitch the skins together using spider web silk. to make a tent, a right B in winter.

What consultation ?  What a waste of money !! Far better to improve pitches and toilets eg Tewkesbury or to reduce pitch fees and membership costs

We are not a "commercial "set up,hence do not need re-branding.

Also complaints department need to accept complaints re overseas sites they have in brochure. Totally unresolved complaints froma French site last year, just batted back to the site The club has in brochure so should ensure up to standard & not  transit camps

It's not rebranding that will increase the membership it's keeping down the cost of membership fees and site fees that will attract members something the cost of the rebrand could have been put towards.

Skin of a recently dead sheep and Normans shooting arrows at ya? You  wa lucky! We used to dream of sleeping in a recently dead bloody sheeps skin with bloody Normans shooting arrows at us! My earliest recollection of going on ta oliday wiv mam and dad was spent two weeks in the sewers under a typically working class row of Victorian tenements and whore houses but you never heard us moan ................
