Welcome to the Caravan and Motorhome Club.

Ever since we came together as a group of outdoor enthusiasts 110 years ago, our Club has continued on a journey of discovery. It's time for us to make some changes for the better by redefining who we are to help you get the most of the great outdoors.

I’m sure you all have lots of questions, please post your feedback and queries in this thread.

What does our new logo mean? We created a video to explain how we created it:

Same happened at the CTC.... rebranded CyclingUK .... WITHOUT consulting the membership......  which is sad...

Many have left the CTC as a consequence, how many will leave the Caravan Club as a result... it's not the rebranding that is the issue (I hate the new name..just so you know) but the fact the membership never had a vote on it.....

Hi JVB,

The change in name and logo were based on your feedback and in consultation with your representatives on the Committee. Together, we’re embarking on a journey of investment in the future of our Club.

I personally cannot see what we all gain by this, but organisations like to put their stamp on things and in fairness, it will probably only cost about a million quid to change everything.

What I find strange is that I never seem to be included on these lists of people who are consulted; our council has similar consultations just like our politicians, but hey ho my luck in life.

Perhaps the C&MCC (see that's cost me 3 extra strokes) could have included a voting paper in the handbook and then we could have been modern and had a proper referendum.

So no more green organisation, just seeing red now.

Thank You for challenging the status quo and seeking to set the Club up for the future.

I would encourage the Staff Team and Board Members to hold firm to the vision embodied in the new name and logo in the face of the usual culprits who moan about anything new!!

The name change and new logo are but signs of a new way of thinking at the Club and that has to be welcomed.

As a Club that has both generational and diversity challenges we need to set our face to the future and look at how we can communicate a vision and strategy that will address these issues and increase appeal across younger and ethnically diverse potential members.

Go on many sites and you will see a largely white, elderly group of campers. Yes we (I include myself in the above description) are the history of the Club BUT we need to move with the times and look forward or the Club will decline and die.

So I for one congratulate the Club for their forward thinking and vision and yes for challenging the status quo. Well done.

The name & logo don't really matter to me, but what does matter is the amount of money it's all going to cost. A lot of sites are in urgent need of upgrade for different reasons, this money should have be spent doing this.

A recent report came to conclusion that a company's biggest asset is its brand. Does anyone remember McVities changing to McV.? Probably not because it was a complete waste of money costing millions. I suggested some time ago that to reflect the membership,we should change the name to the Caravan and Dog Club, but was being facetious.

Well, what a complete waste of money!

I don't see how there could have been any doubt in anyones mind that the Caravan Club represented both caravans and motorhomes.

The growing number of motorhomes on sites surely demonstrates this.

I wonder whether the Club will identify to it's Members just how much money is to be wasted on this totally unjustified rebranding.

Call me 'scrooge' but any rebranding comes at enormous cost - changing everything from signage, all CC publications through to the site staff sweat-shirts, and of course even the designing of the logo usually costs unless it was an in-house brainwave?  It will be interesting to see this highlighted in the club accounts next year. I would rather the money had been spent on sites and their facilities.

Only just got my 20 year sticker, that's going to be a waste of about 50 pence straight away.
