Ideal location

Spent 9th to 13th July at this site. The only minor down sides were some long term noisy campers on the plot behind us and folk queuing up to empty their loos in the motorhome grey water drain!!! The up sides include extremely friendly and helpful staff who spoke perfect English (although not needed as I speak Dutch). The facilities were clean.  Using the bus from the campsite was a little expensive at €4.40 return each however walking into centre of Delft was about 20 minutes (we are late 60's early 70's). Coffee then a further 15 minutes took us to the tram or station. Day tickets for the tram can be purchased at the camp site. These can be used all day and took us to The Hague. A trip to Rotterdam was also on the agenda, a cheap 20 minute rail trip. So much to see in Rotterdam but the newly built Markthal (Market Hall) is a must see and within easy walking distance. Only drove motorhome twice, once for a supermarket trip and the other for visiting family. All in all a good site to be based.

Great location and friendly site

Great location for visiting Delft and amsterdam.  Pitches were good size and quiet site.  Always visited by ducks and their chicks.  Great cycling and a large lake nearby.  Staff very friendly and helpful.  Facilities were good and clean but restaurant area needs upgrading. Good site to relax and visit this area in Holland, easy walk into Delft.

Good central Location

Just returned from a 7 night stay. went mainly to see Tour de France. Start in Utrecht. This sight was central for travelling on the Rail network to Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht. site was easy to get too from Rotterdam port. only used car for 1 day out of the seven as public transport was good and also able to walk/ cycle to Delft. facility's  were excellent and staff very friendly and helpful.Only downside pitches very close together. would recommend and will probably return again some time.

Wonderful site...

We have just returned from a glorious holiday in Holland. Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry crossing, then a 45 minute trip to Delftse Hout. Such a conveniently located site to the Hook and so perfect for walking or cycling into this beautiful town of Delftse. The third time we've been here and says it all. Must take your bikes as cycling is so so easy in Holland. People are so so friendly and almost all speak English without any quibble! This site is very friendly, clean and well run. There is a huge park just behind the site for cycling around too. Also took train to Rotterdam, The Hague and also Scheveningen (highly recommended seaside resort) from the wonderful new Delftse Station. Give it a try!

A good base for cycling

This was our 3rd visit to the site. We are keen cyclists so the area offers miles of traffic free and quiet roads. The Dutch drivers are very careful even the white van men give way. Scheveningen was easily reached and the fish & chips alone were worth the ride. Handy for the P&O Ferry to Hull (<40 mins).

Nice Stay in Delft

Had a lovely 2 stops in Delft, first was just one night off the ferry heading to Denmark, stayed for three nights on return trip, very easy walk into the lovely town of Delft, centrally located and easy reach off all other areas of South Holland. Would though highly recommend that you do NOT book through the Caravan Club, by booking direct with the site we could easily have saved over £10 per night, the staff there ALL speak excellent English so calling them by phone or sending an e-mail to book direct would not be a problem.

A Delightful Spot for a First Visit to Holland

Lovely surroundings, good access to Delft, some road noise (less at night)...We really enjoyed our short stay and would be happy to return. The market on Thursday was very good and we enjoyed Minos's Greek restaurant just on the main square. The shop was very adequate and we too did not manage a visit to the restaurant. The staff were very obliging and helpful.

Just Right Place

Stayed 6 nights at Delftse Hout in order to visit Keukenhof and the bulb fields. This site is ideal for this and close to the Hook - Harwich ferry. Just under an hour away. We were allowed onto our pitch early as it was available which gave us almost half a day extra. Delft is only ten mins by bike and easy to visit. The Staff were brilliant. Speak English like they were born here and helped with our trip to Amsterdam, recommending Park and Ride. We enjoyed walking and biking around the woods and lake. all traffic free. We bought a bag of peanuts for the birds and had Parakeets; Jays; Jackdaws; Pheasants; Ducks; Great tits and more within a meter of the caravan window. The facilities were very clean and the whole area tidy. Wi Fi was very slow. We did not use the restaurant but the mini shop has fresh bread and other essentials. We will be using this site again as soon as we get a chance.

Excellent location,Fabulousreception

This is a compact site, which feels rural but is actually close to Delft centre. Facilities are very good although we were not enticed to go to the restaurant. The site shop, which is very well stocked, bakes each am a fantastic range of different breads. Staff in reception were first rate; nothing was too difficult for them. Although we had to be off site by 11 am on final day they found us a secure place to park our caravan until 7 pm (to catch  the evening ferry to UK) at no extra cost. You don't get that in the UK. OK this is a compact site but is excellent for visiting the area and the staff team were fantastic. (By the way, all the Dutch people we met in Delft could teach us Brits a thing or two about friendliness.)

An enjoyable spring break

A very clean site.   Facilities very good. Camping space quite small for larger vans. We were in a small Romahome and one day found a very large motorhome had been parked  across their pitch and part of ours. An interesting discussion followed with this Austrian neighbour who did not speak English and was not keen to move.   Don't think this would have happened on a Caravan club site! Very easy to get into Delft from the site, even a bus every half an hour for those not wanting to walk.   Easy access from the motorway. Lovely parkland surroundings all around the site.  The restaurant on site was good and all in all we had a very good time there.
