Snow and Ice
Snow and ice did not prevent us having a good stay at this site, along with others we froze up but not enough to spoil our stay and our heating still worked! The conditions also stopped the large drill working on the adjacent building site although we'd taken precautions by parking our van as far away from it as possible and this proved to be a good move as we were very glad to use the warm clean facilities close to us. Many thanks to the wardens for keeping things going under difficult circumstances and also booking us in for a longer stay due to the weather. York was great as usual, very quiet due to the snow, which was a bonus so no queues to see things, lots of nice food, plenty of good coffee stops. Two goes in the new Jorvik centre using a free return ticket plus an easy walk around the Castle Museum and Railway Museum even if it was a trudge in the snow to get there, we did it and enjoyed it.
