Lovely site

Had a great 4 days at Yellowcraigs. Very helpful and friendly wardens who kept the site spotless. Handy for visiting Edinburgh or a quiet walk on the nearby beach. We will definitely be back.

Lovely yellowcraig

Been coming here for about 10 years and just think it is wonderful, only downsides are poor mobile signal and in this day and age no wi fi. If you can live without aforementioned you will enjoy. We shall be coming back in the spring to enjoy the beach and and dune walks and the lovely town of North Berwick with nice places to eat and very friendly people.

Amazing beach location

Just returned from 5 days at yellowcraigs. This is our second visit to this site and we shall be returning again and again. The beachside location is fantastic and ideal for us with our wee dog.The park is immaculate as all caravan club sites friendly wardens and good facilities. This is a busy park but the layout doesnt feel crowded and although we did have a large group of family next to us they were a bit noisy but only as they were enjoying themselves! The walk along to the nearby village of dirleton is nice and there are a few pubs which you can sit outside with a drink and the dog. We visited North Berwick and Dunbar both lovely harbour towns with many nice shops for browsing Dirleton and Tantallion castle worth a visit .The excellent sunshine also helped!! I would recommend this park and plan to visit again soon!

Great position

Keep coming back here because of the beach and postition. The 'Woof wash' is a great help. Good things are the tidyness of the site, the shower block and the friendly wardens. Not so good - excessive numbers of rabbits, and the lack of wifi. With no decent mobile signal it does not add to the relaxation to have to leave the site to get a connection. With a busy site like this and so close to Edinburgh I'm surprised. If the west coast of Scotland miles away from anywhere can manage a fantastic wifi connection I can't understand why somewhere just off the 'Golf Coast' road is so poorly catered for. Still, I'll be back next year - hopefully!

Probably one of the best sites

Probably one of the best club sites we have stayed at. Stayed here for just a few nights in August, and we were lucky to find a pitch that had a couple of blank grass pitches beside it that were being "rested", so had plenty of space (for us and the multitude of rabbits). Other parts of the site did look a bit crowded. What we did like was that it was just a short 5 minute walk to a fantastic sandy beach. As we were lucky to have some fabulous weather, this is where we spent most of our time with the dog. Site was clean & tidy, and the "Woof Wash" is a nice touch. We would definitely recommend this site and would love to return sometime.

You Did Book Didn't you

Our first visit to this site. On arrival the site full signs were up. Not to worry though, the very helpful wardens had reserved us a hard standing pitch as we were staying for 2 weeks. I would probably have chosen the same pitch if the site was empty. The site was perfect for us and our 2 Labradors, with the superb beach a short walk through the wood over the dunes. The site itself was well maintained and clean. My only criticism would be that the rabbits need culling before they over run the site. We will return.

Wi-fi less

Well, we have visited this sight many times over 20 years and it remains a big favourite of ours. The facilities, as at all Club Sites, are excellent and the Wardens and Volunteers, work very hard to keep it that way. I'm afraid that some of this hard work is undone by a minority of irresponsible dog owners who seem to think that leaving their animals feces where it was deposited is acceptable. Take it from me, it isn't!  Also, where's the Wi-fi? I realise that this particular problem may well be out of the Clubs control, but it's very irritating that there is none available. Added to this, there's a lack of any mobile phone signal and no 3G. It's all very well saying that the lack of contact with the outside world is good for stress levels, well, if you've got it, you don't have to use it, if you haven't got it you can't use it! This is a big popular site, so, when are we getting this modern facility? The location of this site is fantastic and all the things you can do and see are second to none. If you haven't been to Yellowcraig, book up and hook up, you'll not regret it...

things noted

We arrived on 5th Sept. 2015 after setting up our caravan we visited the toilet block. The ladies hand dryer was not working. Another female caravanner told me it it stopped working on 2nd Sept. This machine was approx. 2mnths old and when we left on 15th Sept it was still out of action. There should at least have been paper towels available as this situation is most unhygienic. The installers we believe were a firm called PHS. We suggest there services should be dispensed with and get someone local to look after these items . Otherwise the site was as good as ever. We have been visiting since the 1980s.
