Great for visiting London

We had a 3 night stop here. The facilities were spotless, the wardens were very helpful. We took the train into London from Denham Station. £13.50 for a day Rail Ticket which covered all Trains, Tube and bus trips. We approached the site from junction 17 M25. The site directory gives a route to the site up Denham Green Lane. Our satnav took us up Tilehouse Lane. Once you enter Tilehouse lane there is no turning back, the wardens asked me if I still had 2 sides on my caravan. A sign telling you no Access to CC site at this junction would help. Leaving the M25 at junction 16 is straight forward but there are no signs to the site from here. We will use this site again when visiting London.

Lovely site

Had a lovely 3 days at the site. Wardens are great and site well kept. Quick access and departure from M25. Useful site to visit west London and the Thames valley.

One nighter

Lovely handy little site. We have stayed here twice  when crossing the country & needing just a one night stop. Easy access from the M25. Some noise from the air field nearby with small planes & helicopters flying in & out but to be honest it's fun watching them. Apparently there is a very nice cafe there but only found out about this after talking to a local chap when we were walking in the adjacent nature reserve as it's not advertised anywhere. The site itself is pristine both the grounds & the amenities block. We arrived earlier than anticipated ( just before 12o'clock due to the M25 being fairly quiet for once!) The wardens apologised to us for not being able to let us onto the site (along with 2 other units who had also inadvertently arrived too soon) we actually hadn't even tried to book in knowing we were too early!! Their problem was that people who were due to depart that morning were showing no signs of leaving.

One night

Stopped for one night on the way back from Norfolk. The site was full and so our pitch the only one left was only just long enough to accommodate our 8.5 metre van but the wardens were very helpful and suggested we park at a bit of an angle to get on the pitch easier. There is lovely woodland next door with lovely dog walks.

Going over old times

What a great base for London and the surrounding areas. Our intention was to re-visit some of our old haunts from when we first met, a lot has changed but it was good to see all these changes. We were also able to visit Hampton Court Palace and Windsor Castle. We did not venture into the centre of London but the transport links are great. The site is well looked after by the wardens which was spotless. The local aerodrome is across the road and light aircraft and helicopters are heard but this does not detract from the peaceful atmosphere. A great pub is the Bear on the Barge at Harefield which has a varied menu and plenty of room both inside and out and another that is recommended (especially if you want to see some celebrities) is the Biggles Restaurant at the aerodrome itself. A great break along with some beautiful weather for this time of year.

Great Weekend at this fantastic site .

We have just returned from this fabulous site . Very clean and extremely well situated to get to London by rail or Bus . The temporary wardens Bill & Bridget are an absolute credit to the caravan club . Friendly and very helpful . The airfield next door does generate some noise ( by no means excessive )but as its only for light aircraft and small helicopters , its actually quite pleasant to watch them take off and land . We didn't find this bothersome at all . Lovely walks all around for dog owners . We will definitely use this great little site again .

Lovely Little Site

Stayed here over the bank holiday as visiting family in the area. Very helpful and friendly staff, great dog walking close to the site and facilities kept very clean. There is aircraft noise from the adjacent aerodrome but after a while you don't really notice it. If you visit Denham Country Park then give Fran's Tea Garden on the Grand Union Canal at Denham Deep Lock a visit for great homemade cakes. Will definitely use again.

Site great for London and countryside

This is probably my 4/5th stay on this site. I stay to visit relatives living close by in Chalfont St Peter (a nice town/village). It's a great little site - easy to get to London but also to go into the lovely countryside that Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire have to offer. Probably not a site to spend the days on and I guess people use it to go out and about. The aerodrome is only a small aircraft one so although you hear and see them during the day, it's hardly Heathrow! Wardens smashing and facilities as usual spotless. I'll be back for my visit to relatives next year.

Great for visiting London

We stayed early August and the temporary wardens were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Well kept, fairly small site. Trains from Denham Station straight to London were great. For us being near the air field was a bonus as we liked to watch the planes but there is inevitably some noise.
