Great Weekend at this fantastic site .

We have just returned from this fabulous site . Very clean and extremely well situated to get to London by rail or Bus . The temporary wardens Bill & Bridget are an absolute credit to the caravan club . Friendly and very helpful . The airfield next door does generate some noise ( by no means excessive )but as its only for light aircraft and small helicopters , its actually quite pleasant to watch them take off and land . We didn't find this bothersome at all . Lovely walks all around for dog owners . We will definitely use this great little site again .

Lovely Little Site

Stayed here over the bank holiday as visiting family in the area. Very helpful and friendly staff, great dog walking close to the site and facilities kept very clean. There is aircraft noise from the adjacent aerodrome but after a while you don't really notice it. If you visit Denham Country Park then give Fran's Tea Garden on the Grand Union Canal at Denham Deep Lock a visit for great homemade cakes. Will definitely use again.

Site great for London and countryside

This is probably my 4/5th stay on this site. I stay to visit relatives living close by in Chalfont St Peter (a nice town/village). It's a great little site - easy to get to London but also to go into the lovely countryside that Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire have to offer. Probably not a site to spend the days on and I guess people use it to go out and about. The aerodrome is only a small aircraft one so although you hear and see them during the day, it's hardly Heathrow! Wardens smashing and facilities as usual spotless. I'll be back for my visit to relatives next year.

Great for visiting London

We stayed early August and the temporary wardens were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Well kept, fairly small site. Trains from Denham Station straight to London were great. For us being near the air field was a bonus as we liked to watch the planes but there is inevitably some noise.

Pleasant Site - Some Concerns.

We stayed here for 5 nights in early August and found the temporary warden to be extremely helpful and friendly. We chose a level gravel pitch and kind of enjoyed our stay. As in the description, the site is located next to Denham Aerodrome, so there is very loud aircraft noise for most of the day, but peaceful in the evenings. That didn't concern us too much. What did concern us though was that the site appeared to be half full of single people who appeared to leave for work in the morning and then return in the evening - some in private cars, but others in commercial vans, some sign written. I checked the club forums, and this appears to happen on sites in the South East that have close proximity to London. OK, not a big issue, but my concern is that I want to stay for leisure purposes, and I am worried that a request to book might not be possible at busy periods when half the site is full of people "living" there. The forums also appear to state that the club accepts people who want to work in the area, rather than be there for leisure, so that appears to be how it is. Not too much of a problem - just a concern. The site is also quite a walk from the town facilities and railway station, although a limited bus service does run to Uxbridge directly from the site.

Wembley Trip

The site is very good, but only for adults only as there are no facilities for children , ie :- no play area ,and also not enough pitches for awnings. The shower block facilities are excellent ,the wardens are very pleasant and very helpful, the site is ideally situated for train service to Wembley Stadium and London attractions.

Great place to stay

This is the second time we have stopped here and it was as good this time as last, easy access to all sorts of places Windsor, Kew, Hampton Court, the site is kept immaculacy by the very hard working and very friendly Wardens, only drawback it the close airfield, but you get used to it very quickly and ignore it, there are far too many plus points that far out way that one, as I say this is our second time and i'm sure it wont be our last

handy for london

This site is not too large. The marshals are very good and helpful and the site is very clean and pretty. The aircraft noise during the day is very loud, but if you are going out that won't worry you. The site is very handy for Denham station and quick one stop into Marylebone. Always plenty of parking at the station. Great and convenient site for visiting London.
