Excellent all round

Lovely site, helpful wardens, plenty to do around the area, beautiful views out across the estuary to Wales. Facilities are clean and presentable. Plenty of walks and cycle routes, easy access to Liverpool and Chester for its zoo or shopping.

Sunshine, showers?

Returned to this site for another enjoyable stay.  This time found a pitch in a cul-de-sac, greenery all round, birds, squirrels, rabbits, great to watch. Peaceful. Good cycling along The Wirral Way. Good play area for those that need it. All well maintained by the Warden Team. Just the shower block then.  Refurb. long overdue.  Must be on a list somewhere at East Grinstead?  Come on HQ, spend some of our money! Kept clean despite the antiquity, thanks again Team.

Lovely site

Just left this lovly site today. Lovely location. We were lucky to have a pitch that overlooked the estuary. Plenty of walks to do with a dog. Could do with a nother toilet block, or the current one made larger. Also needed upgrading not the usual cc standards but still kept clean. But would def. return.

Lovely site a jewel of the North West

Lovely site in fantastic position for Liverpool and the Wirral Country Park. Lovely position for access to all local facilities, site busy but superb views over the Dee Estuary. We did notice some of the pitches with best views were allocated for disabled club members so chances of getting these premium pitches are very scarce. Public footpaths through the Wirral Country Park adjacent to site entrance, short walk to Dee sailing club jetty for access to rocky, sludgy beach area. No dog area but walks abound in country park so problem. Facilities good coped with full site of mainly older mature campers. Site overall good and would visit again.

Perfect,Lovely views clean and tidy site, friendly wardens, plenty to do

We have been coming here for several years now and find it a very welcoming place to be in, friendly wardens and very well run site, there is plenty to do and places to go for both young and old, we always visit Chester Zoo, the boat museum, port sunlight, cross over to Liverpool using the ferry and visit all the museums, we always book for a week and still don't have time to see everything, so we will be back again one word "Brilliant"

very good park

Very nice location. only complaint about the site is toilet block. It really does need an upgrade. Staff are very polite and friendly. Fish and chip van failed to appear when we were there. very disappointing.

Good Location

An excellent location for visits to Liverpool, Mersey ferries, New Brighton and Port Sunlight, the local town of Heswall is also worth a visit. I stayed for 3 nights and will return as soon as i can to spend more time in Liverpool. The only negative comment i would make is the Shower block which could do with a refurbishment.

NICE SITE

Quite a busy but well run site I feel the site would benefit from a small toilet block at the bottom of the site near the the grass pitches other than that no complaints will visit again

Perfect Long Weekend

We were lucky enough to have a pitch looking out over the estuary and enjoyed a wonderful site in perfect weather. This site has so much to offer the visitor from sitting relaxing on site to venturing further afield. The walks and cycle routes are available directly off site and go on for miles. We enjoyed the walk across the sands to Hilbre Island from West Kirby the sea breezes cooling the sun as we watched the seals playing in the distance. Due to the excellent weather we didn't see Liverpool or Chester but enjoyed a perfectly relaxing time enjoying the caravanning life! Next trip to Edinburgh can't come quickly enough!

Lovely site

I shall base my review on the site, not on the behaviour of other CC members, which is irrelevant.  Friendly welcome by the staff who explained the site to me with a fuss-free booking in.  I was fortunate to find a vacant pitch with a fantastic view of the estuary and Wales, I couldn't have wished for a better pitch.  The location, directly next to the Wirral Way, was perfect for my plans for the 5 days I was there, for cycling and geocaching.  The facilitities are very good and clean, and the site is well maintained and tidy.  There is a playground for children and a Country park very close by too.  Oh, and the other members I met and chatted with were lovely and friendly.  I would definitely return.
