Nice sea view

We enjoyed our 2 nights here, level grass pitch overlooking the sea and tree's around us informal feeling. Toilet shower block always clean. Although seems an isolated site we did get some road(?) noise in the evening but not an issue just seemed a bit unexpected.Helpful staff.

A place to go and relax

This camp site is very well kept very clean and the wardens are very kind and helpful. lovely views across the water and a great park for the kids to play on. the walks in the area are second to none and if you like walking then this site is for you.

First Visit

This site is well situated for Liverpool, Chester & surrounding areas. It's proximity to the Wirral Way is excellent both for cyclists & walkers straight from the site. Beaches are dog friendly with lovely sands. The site facilities are in need of updating although kept nice & clean. During our stay there were some heavy downpours & the drainage needs addressing some of the hard standings retained water as did the grass pitches which we were on. Would definitely visit again.

Mid June break on the Wirral

Site is very handy for Chester, Liverpool and Cheshire Oaks Outlet Park. Just what the wife ordered. Facilities are looking a bit jaded now but are kept clean and tidy as usual. We will be back.

Fantastic!

This is the third time that we have stayed here this year & were lucky to find a pitch overlooking the River Dee. The wardens continue to work very hard & the site is very busy. Yes the toilet block needs extending & updating but it is always well maintained. The Caravan Club members continue to review club sites with the utmost loyalty but it's a shame that the Caravan Club never appear to respond or take notice of what is being reported. Several members have commented about the toilet facilities; will the Caravan Club take action?

A Superb Location

We stayed at this site for the first time in June 2016. What a lovely area and so close to Liverpool. In future we would bring our bikes,but the saver ticket on Mersey rail, as advised by the very helpful warden on check in, was excellent value and allowed us to use the ferry as well. The site was full, but remained quiet and so many of the pitches have superb views or at least glimpses of the Dee. It is also so close to the Wirral Way for walking, cycling, or just sitting in open countryside. The facilities are excellent and the peace and quiet just what we look for.

Great location with spectacular views

Rolled up to this site and immediately got a great welcome from the warden, he is a dog lover with very flexible attitude, and he never stops working!! Ideal location for a quiet holiday or activity in the form of walking or cycling the wirral Way. Wirral towns of West Kirby and Heswall are within walking distance. The site is well kept and amenities are as expected immaculately clean if in need of some updating. Would recommend this site to anyone, very busy at weekends but no problem with un booked arrivals in midweek.

A break on the Wirral Riveria!

We were fortunate to spend three gloriously sunny days at the Wirral site recently. For us it's a 50minute journey from our home in Warrington to the pitch! But to wake to the view over the Dee Estuary is magnificent, you could almost be anywhere in Devon or Cornwall!! Lovely welcome, good facilities and a good balance of grass vis hard standings. To walk the 'Wirral Way' from the site gate is a real bonus too! Thanks for a super few days!
