Very welcoming first experience . Helpfull reception and made us feel wanted. Site very quiet and pleanty of room on the pitch. Site very tidy and toilet very clean at all times. Nice walks and easy access to railway and bus stops
top site.
Spent 2 nights here in september and found it too be a great site. Very clean and warm shower/toilet facilities. Great location for walks and bike rides along the wirral way. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definately be back. Already looking forward to it.
Excellent location
For us this site is one of the best located on the whole network. Great walks from the site along the Wirral way or along the beach. Many places to visit including West Kirby, Hoylake and a much improved New Brighton. Liverpool within easy reach.
Good site rude staff
Lovely site great walks great views
Ideal to visit Liverpool and Chester
But staff unfriendly doesn't take much for a good morning I no it's end of season but that's not our fault.
Toilets need upgrading we wouldn't return.
I think caravan club need to look at there staff we have been a lot this season and we haven't been welcomed at any site we have been we have members 15 years and feel the standard has sliped it doesn't take much for a hello or a have a nice day the caravan club you are slipping FRIENDLY wardens that's what your members expect !!!

nice site
We used to visit this site very regularly but haven't been for several years.
Firstly, beware of the access road, far too many speed ramps which despite going very slowly and carefully will redistribute the contents of your caravan cupboards.
The site is pleasant and in a beautiful location. Great wardens, seemed pleasant enough as we arrived late in the day and booked in quickly.
The only real criticism we have is the dirty state of the facilities - in the evenings they were disgusting but even at 12.15 as soon as they'd been closed for cleaning, they weren't good, bin full of rubbish and items on the floor. One single (unused) sponge mop on the wall at the end is inadequate and people aren't using it anyway.
The actual site is very neat and well kept so it's clearly otherwise well cared for. The location is fabulous, lots to do within a short distance.

Wirral Country Park
Stayed here for a five night break, facilities were really clean. Easy to find, friendly staff, great for outdoor pursuits. We were overlooking the Dee estuary.
Would stay here again.
Also a big thanks to the couple who helped me on the day we were leaving.
Most unhelpful warden yet.
Agree with previous comments. In fairness, only dealt with one of the wardens - lady with short grey hair. Very brusque, unhelpful etc. We needed kitchen roll on the Sunday when checking out - my toddler had been sick in the caravan so had run out (didn't tell her that bit). Just asked if they sold kitchen roll in the shop - she was cleaning as we were en route to the shop. She said they did but the shop was closed. Rather than open it, at 11:20, I had to do the 25min round trip to Tesco instead. That's just one example. There were others! On the return, I couldn't get in. 6 vans trying to enter at 11:45. Three trying to leave. Total chaos. Not enough space at entrance. We had to leave 30mins late (couldn't have left much earlier to be fair to due Tesco trip).
On a positive, this is a gorgeous site with a great play park for the kids. Could do with a toddler washroom and agree with previous comments that it is a shame that so few pitches can enjoy the lovely views.

Wonderful site. Pity about the wardens.
Our second visit to Wirral this year and enjoyed both trips.
The location is fabulous, with easy access to cycle paths and walking routes. Quick links to local towns with a large variety of eateries and shops.
Really the only downside is that the wardens do not seem to be as happy to be there as are most of the visitors. Rude and sarcastic. Not helpful. Visitors unable to park as wardens vehicles were occupying the visitor parking spaces.
An unnecessary attitude in such a lovely place.
A Nice quiet site
We only stayed on Saturday night ar far as I was concerned the site was tidy,Toilets and showers where clean and the wardens friendly ,I will stay for longer next time
A missed opportunity
Being on the banks of the Dee Estuary with the glorious south facing views it's a shame so few pitches take advantage of the location. Out of 90 pitches only around 10 can see the view and then there's a great big hedge hiding it too. There's not even a bench from where to enjoy the breathtaking views.
Noise from the near road which goes to the Dee Sailing Club was very noisy on Friday night especially when they go over the humps in the road.
Location next to the Wirral Way is excellent with great walks to Parkgate in one direction & West Kirby in the other.
We'll probably be back for the walks alone but was left a little disappointed by the site & also it not being open all year.
