Spring getaway

stayed for 2 nights ( 3rd-5th march) , 1st time on a club sight , very happy overall. Lovely surroundings , easy access and very helpfull staff, excellent facilities, hopefully next time we visit the grounds will have dried out and it will be sunny and we can take advantage of the surrounding walks.

Early Spring break

Great site for motorhomes with easy access and good level pitch. Wardens always very helpful . Pub easy walking distance and GJs cafe 5 minutes away. Good area for walking and cycling with all facilities in Heswell. Will definitely be back.

A shame not an all year site

Firstly happy retirement to your wardens for the past 4 years. I always enjoy staying here and do so 3-4 times a year as it is close to home for a quick getaway. With the Winter westerly winds I can understand why the CC closes the site through the Winter months but some members like ourselves love the Winter weather and wish they would consider all year opening for the site. The Dee estuary is wonderful in all the seasons with its wildlife and there is plenty of walking and local activities. They cater for all ages with a good child protected play area. The Wirral way is steps away from the site and close to all amenities including only 20 minutes from Chester where there is good parking along the river for Motorhomes opposite the race course and minutes from its centre. I am sure the majority who visit this site enjoy their stay and I shall be back as always next year. It is not "top of the range" but it does not pretend to be so. The wardens are relaxed and always helpful. Not to be missed.

October Visit

Just got back from trip away in the motorhome. Lovely site, will definitely return. Just a shame its not a year round site as there's so much to do in the vicinity and just ideal for trips into Liverpool and Chester - 100% better than the Cheshire Oaks site where there are absolutely 0 walks from the site that are safe due to busy road with no pavement and no footpaths in the area. Here there are walks and safe cycle routes in every direction and especially all along the coast on the disused railway line. The views over the Dee estuary from the site are excellent. Such a peaceful site.

Excellent location

For us this site is one of the best located on the whole network. Great walks from the site along the Wirral way or along the beach. Many places to visit including West Kirby, Hoylake and a much improved New Brighton. Liverpool within easy reach.

Toilets need upgrading we wouldn't return. I think caravan club need to look at there staff we have been a lot this season and we haven't been welcomed at any site we have been we have members 15 years and feel the standard has sliped it doesn't take much for a hello or a have a nice day the caravan club you are slipping FRIENDLY wardens that's what your members expect !!!
