High Standards

Very clean facilities, large pitches, beautifully kept, efficiently run site. Good walking nearby and a Beefeater pub/restaurant next door, easy to get to most places from here. Nice nature reserve and riverside to walk dogs. Close to major roads but relatively quiet. Very minor negatives, not much grass about for dogs to pee in morning and at night. Would like the office to be manned a bit more than it is. ALL CC sites should be offering free WIFI, put the magazine online and give WiFi instead. Would use again, not the pretty countryside that I prefer but it certainly does its job well.

Five star site

First time on this site and it exceeded our expectations, clean toilets, easy to access, close to bus stops, supermarket just 5 minutes walk away, the bus service was excellent and we had trips to Middlesboro and Hartlepool the latter has a really good Naval museum. Nice flowers and plants at the site entrance even for November. Our only gripe was, the walk by the side of the nature reserve to the shops is littered with dog poo, why are some dog owners so lazy that they can't "Bag it and bin it" and then not throw it in the nearest bush.

November 2017

Great site and very quiet (even though it is just 5 minutes of the A66). We've stopped here quite a few ties and can't fault it. Great walks down the riverside into Stockton with major shopping area (Portrack Lane) within walking distance. Will be back again next year.

Second visit this year

Visited site earlier this year, last month, and returned with two other units on my recommendation. No need to worry, excellent site, facilities well up to standard. The wardens organised the Halloween for the younger visitors, some of the older members seemed to be enjoying themselves just as much if not more, great atmosphere well done to all. This site is on our family list now.

White Water park

We have used the site any times and the new hard standings are great. The wardens are Brilliant and very friendly as are all the volunteers but Andy and his wife always go the extra mile as they organised the Halloween parade much to the delight of the youngsters and many of the adults. Many Many thanks to all the staff

Pleasant surprise

From the minute you approach reception until you book out to leave you are pleased with how you are dealt, the facilities and the site as whole. The facilities were excellent, the site immaculate and the amenities block extremely well kept. One of the best sites I have stayed on and I will definitely return.

A beautifully maintained site, very friendly and helpful wardens. The flowers were lovely. Close to the town's amenities.

Floral welcome

Booked in here for 2 nights and after finding site (head for the Beefeater) what a surprise. Very warm welcome with flowers all around the entrance - the wardens have worked hard. On site it was very peaceful and walking in the area around the Barrage and proposed nature reserve kept husband and dog very happy. Large Asda within easy walking distance. Well worth a visit.
