Ideal beachside location

Narrow road and tight bends on the approach to the site entrance, but a nice welcome from the wardens. Our stay was over a weekend so the site was quite full and the prime beachside pitches had all been taken, but we found a nice hardstanding which was clear but there are also grass pitches For awnings if required. The closeness of the beach for walking was great and a visit to the transport museum was a must. Bit busy in the toilet block due to the closure on the smaller block. Would use the site again.

Lovely site

This was our second visit here, last came 2 years ago. Great for walking, for the dogs, peace and quiet. Can't complain really, wardens very friendly and helpful, were very quick with 'pulling up' rebellious caravanners who don't seem to want to park on the pitch as they should. Only issue like everyone else is that it's a large site for one toilet block, and cleaning time is early but as I am early riser that's not such an issue for me but hubby is later riser so had to rush. Overall lovely site and would go again

Nice stay with Grandchildren

Had a nice stay this weekend, only marred by not being offered use of the children's / infants bathroom at check in, both children were with us in the office at the time, should be automatic with small kids, but when asked just before departure was informed that they do not offer the facility unless asked for (can only assume they do not want it getting dirty) and hence do not need to clean it...... would be grateful for reply if there is some other mysterious reason.

Our recent stay

Having now stayed at White House Beach Caravan Club Site three times over recent years and enjoyed our holidays there each time, my wife and I do think that some refurbishment is required, especially the toilet block at the larger site.  There used to be two toilet blocks, but one is now closed and leaves one toilet block on the larger site, which is inadequate given the size of the site, not only the number of toilet cubicles but, the number of sinks for washing up. One toilet cubicle was also out of order for the 15 nights that we were there, leaving 3 toilets in total for the gents toilets for the larger site, given we were there the last week of June and the first week of July things were starting to get busy, plus there are only three sinks for washing up. We appreciate how hard all of the wardens work and cannot praise their work enough but, surely 9.45 am - 11.00 am is too early for the toilet block to be closed daily for cleaning, given the size of the site, although the other block on the smaller site can be used during this time.  That one is then closed for cleaning at 11.00 am. Would it not be more practical for the larger block to be cleaned at the later time, given the amount of people who turn up for their early morning showers and to do their washing up, only to learn the toilet block is closed for cleaning.  We feel that the toilet block is in badly need of upgrading and is not to caravan club standard.

White House Beach

Spent a week on this site late June, toilet block facilities very much in need of upgrade, pretty constant dog barking from house adjacent to site (OK not a CC problem but annoying) If the wind is from the west you may get a whiff from the water treatment plant which is close by (look on Google Maps to see how close!)

Suffolk holiday

After a week in Cromer moved to this site. Lovely location and Lowestoft near. Dog walk on site tiny but as beach very near did not need to use it, Only negative was one shower block with too few shower cubicles. Staff helpful and friendly

Dogs galore

My stay at this lovely site was spoiled by, what appeared constant dog barking. One dog owner with two of them, denied that they barked, when they were actually barking whilst he was taking to me. However I will return to this lovely spot. Perhaps the site staff need to be stricter.

Somewhat unhappy

Our third visit to this site. The site need some attention regarding the Toilet Facilities. Considering the number of pitches there are really not sufficient facilities. I requested a disabled pitch and was given pitch 44. Although near the toilet block there is a post and rail fence which means a long walk from this pitch to the TB for someone who is disabled. It would be simple to provide a path through the middle of the fence for those who are not spry enough to squeeze through it. Also the TB although perfectly clean does need updating as it is somewhat tired. I regret I will not visit this site again. This is the first time I have sent a negative review. Unable to comment on suitability for children as it does not apply.

Enjoyable Stay

On arrival 1 July 6.30pm the man and woman in the reception could not be more helpful. I told them it was the first time I had booked and used the motorhome connecting to a site electricity etc and the only had trail runs at home on electricity and water. The man came out to the pitch with myself and my 11 year boy to link up. The following day changed my gas bottle. Now I feel much more independent and confident enough and the next trip booked south to north of the country. Not really any facilities for children but we had our bikes and cycled into Lowestoft on the Saturday not for the faint hearted. The pub in walking distance we eat both our evening meals there good enough food and people friendly. Lovely spot right by the sea good for walks and we were lucky to get two sunny days.
