Beach happy
This site is well located for walking to Lowestoft or Southwold. The latter is a lovely old fashioned resort, long promenade and lots to do, nice tea rooms, places to sit and watch the sea. Â We did catch a bus back from Southwold to the site, they run every hour, quite convenient, but this main bus stop is a short walk away. Â We walked to Southwold along the beach, which was great for the dog. Â Huge beach, lagoons. Â We managed to get a grass pitch which is ideal with a dog, the hard standing pitches seemed a bit smaller. Â Overall site is very good, although I thought it unusual that the whole toilet block, including the dishwashing area, is closed from 9.45 until 11. Â There was a steady stream of people with buckets and bowls and dishes, only to return slightly frustrated. Â I couldn't see the point of closing the dishwashing area for such a long period. Â However, it didn't spoil a lovely site. Â The pub nearby was very friendly and allowed dogs in.Â
