Beach holiday

Great to be next to the beach. Easy access from both sides, of the site, nice to be able to walk, rather than have to drive to the beach. Great relax and had fun, flying kites, swimming, sun bathing and building sand castles with Abbey. 2nd visit and will return again....

Fabulous Site

Site is up to usual club standards - friendly wardens, good, well maintained facilities. Great location for trips to Lowestoft and Southwold as there is a nearby bus stop with regular buses in both directions. My husband is a fisherman so it was ideal for him to walk directly to the beach to fish - although he caught nothing! Nearby pub and restaurant good although I chose badly in the Waterfront restauarant (chicken piri piri with 3 prawns and a bit of raw salad) and my husbands meal was far better. No problems with dogs although most outfits seemed to have one. The dog on the next pitch made us howl with laughter though - when we were cooking chicken on the BBQ it tried desperately to come and visit us round the front of the van but its leash stopped it. I think it would have gratefully shared our chicken BBQ!!

Brilliant site, but only if your a dog lover!!

This is a lovely site, exceptionally clean, with the usual excellent club facilities. The near by fish and chip restaurant is excellent and just a 5 minute walk from the site. Nearby Southwold and Dunwich are well worth visiting. There are some lovely walks along the beach directly from the site. The only drawback of this site (whilst we were there anyway) is, not only the number of dogs on the site but the number of caravaners that seem to have 3,4 and even 5 dogs with them ! and the worst thing is they just dont care how much or for how long they let them bark!!! Which rather spoilt for what was a lovely week on a lovely site. perhaps its time to limit the number of dogs to say 2 per van.

Excellent for dog owners

10 days June/July 2017. Weather warm and cloudy most of the time with a couple of real summer sunny days at the end. Rained (torentially) one night only. Jewel in the crown was the close shingle beach where our two golden retrievers had the best time of their lives. Lots of friendly dog walkers. Close by local restaurant, The Waterfront is outstanding for food and friendly efficient service. Dogs joined us at lunchtimes on the patio and were made very welcome. Toilet facilities on the site are adequate and overdue a refurbishment. Only one block open for main site with another in the beach side area across a small road. Assistant wardens Peter and Janet were very friendly, helpful and hard working and a credit to the club. Will certainly return to this (out of school holidays) peaceful location just to enjoy the coast and fresh fish.

Great two week stay

Just returned earlier this week from a two week stay at this lovely site. The site itself was sheltered with lots of various plots to suit all. The site was clean and well kept. The wardens were both friendly and helpful, a big thank you to Kenny for your help in sorting out our initial problems when setting up, you were extremely patient! The site was perfect for dogs the sand dunes and beach being only a couple of minutes walk away. We certainly had no problems with noisy dogs or dogs off the lead. We ate at the Waterfront restaurant on several occasions, the food was delicious and great value for money. Southwold and Walberswick are well worth a visit. We would definitely recommend this site and will be returning next year.

The staff on site where very good and friendly didnt have any problems the site is very clean and tidy toilets where very clean and well looked after . we had a grass pitch number 110 on the corner of the back part of the site witch has a woodloand feel to it witch suited us fine plenty of room to do what we wanted . the other part of the site is overlooking the beach witch is ideal for fishing . Second visit

We previously visited this site 3 years ago and loved it so much that we returned. It is fantastic. Spotlessly clean and in a great location. Great for just having a long walk along the beach which is dog friendly. Also visited Southwold, Dunwich Heath, and Walberswick amongst others. This coupled with superb weather made for a great week away. Hopefully will visit again.

Peaceful & wonderful site.

Just got back from this beautiful site. We spent six nights on the site. So peaceful the only things that could be heard were the birds singing in the trees. Yes there were dogs on site & yes we had our dog with us. To us there was not a problem with unruly dogs or noisy dogs. We were situated under the trees away from the beach. The wardens were so helpful & friendly, they were amazing. Always around to chat & joke with no matter how busy they were. Also if they knew of a problem they would soon sort it out. The site is ideally suited for the beach, very close to Lowestoft & near to Southwold. I would recommend a visit to the Transport museum near Lowestoft. I would highly recommend this site and hope to visit again soon. In fact if my wife didn't have to go to work we would have stayed longer.
