Just as nice second time around

On our first visit to White House Beach club site in 2016 we were lucky enough to get a pitch overlooking the sea which was very nice as we didn't expect there to be any spaces left by the time we arrived. Our second visit between the 16th - 19th of April was well timed after the continuous bad weather we had all suffered, this time we stayed within the main site which was very well laid out with ample space between pitches. As before we found the wardens very welcoming and friendly, constantly maintaining the grounds and facilities. Despite some comments about the shower block being in need of a refurb I felt they were far better than some I have been in, always nice and clean with plenty of very hot water, my only very minor criticism would be that the shower curtains could be positioned further away from the shower as it had a tendency to cling to my bottom!! whilst using the shower - I certainly didn't lose any sleep over it though. It was lovely and peaceful whilst we were there but I should imagine that it wouldn't be so peaceful during the school holidays, fortunately we can choose to avoid those times. We didn't venture very far from the site but did amble around Kessingland and had a lovely meal at The Sailors Home which is only a few minutes walk away. We will return albeit probably in other two years and I'm sure we will enjoy our stay just as much.

Lovely site highly recommended

We are new members and this was our first visit to a Caravan and Motorhome site. We were lucky to get a beach side pitch and found the site relaxing and peaceful. Warm friendly welcome from the Wardens and the facilities were excellent. Showers clean and heated with loads of hot water. We shall definitely be returning

Good site

It was our first time here. We were on a tour of Suffolk and Norfolk and needed somewhere in the Lowestoft area for the night. As a motorhome traveller we are more dependant on the motorhome servicing facilities and these are very good. Site staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

An old favourite

I’ve been visiting here for ten years. I try to visit once a year. I prefer beachside but it’s almost always impossible it get a pitch if you can’t arrive by 12 which is a shame as I work. The other side is nice and quiet. The facilities are always clean as with every caravan club site but the shower block is in much need of a refurb. The showers are adequate but not what you’d expect from the caravan club. Which is what you pay your membership for. The wardens look after the site beautifully and the upgrade isn’t their responsibility so this isn’t a criticism of them. There is a weeny Park so families can use the beach as a playground. Kessingland itself is a lovely rugged place and the beach is great with pebbles and heathland. We ate at livingstones next to Africa Alive which has an American theme and the food was lovely. I will continue to return 😊

Our perfect site!

We have been coming to this site for 10 + years and still look forward to our next visit! Everything we need is nearby, from walking the dog on the beach to the great sea views. The wardens do a great job in looking after the site and adding their own personal touches. Love the local pub, friendliness of staff, good beer and great food. Looking forward to visiting next season.

Changed our mind last minute (were going to Devon, but bad storms forecast for that weekend, so booked here last minute) and weren't disappointed. Nice welcome on arrival and reasonable choice of pitches still available, given it was a Saturday in Half term. Forget to pack up the hammer for the awning pegs and was offered one from the reception without hesitation, which was nice. TV reception is normally good from our own aerial, but non existent here. Went back to reception just as they were closing to buy a lead for the TV hook up point. Forgot it was cash only for items like that and had none on me at all. Would have been past closing time by the time I'd driven to cash machine etc, so very trustingly gave me the lead with an i.o.u placed in the till. Very very nice touch and much appreciated (Made sure I was in the next morning to clear my debts, haha) Reception with the lead was very good. Site is great. Well set out (all the grass pitches had been closed for repair etc, so perhaps it would be a bit less roomy in high season?) The toilet block is not the newest we've experienced, but was tidy, warm and spotlessly clean, and more than adequate. Always plenty of hot water. Beach is ideal for lovely long walks, our kids loved wandering looking for interesting stones, chalk and skimming stones. It was windy, but not too cold, and each time we went anywhere they always wanted to go back to the beach when we got back to site. The chip shop just down the road serves lovely fish and chips (we ate in and service was really good) The Sailors Home pub, is very welcoming and serves a decent pint of real ale. Kessingland is worth a wander and the ride in a Princess Carriage at Great Yarmouth was enjoyed by all our girls. Overall a great site, up to the usual Club high standards and a very enjoyable 3 night break, Will use it a gain no doubt.

5 star site

We go to Kessingland caravan site every year and no matter how many times we go we love it the same. The beach is only a short walk from the site and is dog friendly, there is a little shop on the site which sells the bare essentials like jam and ice creams not forgetting the boring stuff like bread and milk! The wardens who run the site are amazing and keep the site clean and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this site as i give it 5 out of 5 stars!
