Peace and quiet

Changed our mind last minute (were going to Devon, but bad storms forecast for that weekend, so booked here last minute) and weren't disappointed. Nice welcome on arrival and reasonable choice of pitches still available, given it was a Saturday in Half term. Forget to pack up the hammer for the awning pegs and was offered one from the reception without hesitation, which was nice. TV reception is normally good from our own aerial, but non existent here. Went back to reception just as they were closing to buy a lead for the TV hook up point. Forgot it was cash only for items like that and had none on me at all. Would have been past closing time by the time I'd driven to cash machine etc, so very trustingly gave me the lead with an i.o.u placed in the till. Very very nice touch and much appreciated (Made sure I was in the next morning to clear my debts, haha) Reception with the lead was very good. Site is great. Well set out (all the grass pitches had been closed for repair etc, so perhaps it would be a bit less roomy in high season?) The toilet block is not the newest we've experienced, but was tidy, warm and spotlessly clean, and more than adequate. Always plenty of hot water. Beach is ideal for lovely long walks, our kids loved wandering looking for interesting stones, chalk and skimming stones. It was windy, but not too cold, and each time we went anywhere they always wanted to go back to the beach when we got back to site. The chip shop just down the road serves lovely fish and chips (we ate in and service was really good) The Sailors Home pub, is very welcoming and serves a decent pint of real ale. Kessingland is worth a wander and the ride in a Princess Carriage at Great Yarmouth was enjoyed by all our girls. Overall a great site, up to the usual Club high standards and a very enjoyable 3 night break, Will use it a gain no doubt.

Site Writeup

We have been going to this site for the last ten years usually four times a year New Wardens this year have greatly improved the general appearance and tidiness of the site. Ideal site for access to the beach lovely place for walking the dogs.

5 star site

We go to Kessingland caravan site every year and no matter how many times we go we love it the same. The beach is only a short walk from the site and is dog friendly, there is a little shop on the site which sells the bare essentials like jam and ice creams not forgetting the boring stuff like bread and milk! The wardens who run the site are amazing and keep the site clean and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this site as i give it 5 out of 5 stars!

Nice little site right on the beach, friendly staff, small shop, fish & chips nearby, southwards sandy beach near as well. Have been twice this year for weekend breaks. My dogs love it.

Great site right by the beach

We stayed here for 11 nights during September. It's great for the beach as it's only a short walk away and there are plenty of places to walk along there with your dog. The wardens were really friendly. The shower block was kept lovely and clean. We visited Oulton Broad, Great Yarmouth and Southwold amongst many other places. Southwold is lovely, well worth a visit and is the home of Adnams brewery where you can have a tour or look in their well stocked shop. We haven't visited this part of England before but we loved it and will be back.

great stay by the sea

On arrival, we were offered a choice of 2 pitches facing the sea, which was a good choice. The site shop sells basic staple good, but on the caravan site, next door has a Nisa supermarket. There are 2 eating establishments, namely The Waterfront and the Sailors Home Public House. We tried both and they are ok. The local Co-Op is about 1-1/2 miles away. One of the biggest disappointments was the bus stops which are about 1/2 mile away from the site. there is a regular bus to Lowestoft, but the bus to Southwold, we had to wait 3/4 of an hour as it was late. Therefore, we would tow our car on our next visit. The motorhome service site on the beach side site needs to be improved as the waste disposal drain is only suitable for the smaller motorhome. In all, we will return back to House Beach.

Beach holiday

Great to be next to the beach. Easy access from both sides, of the site, nice to be able to walk, rather than have to drive to the beach. Great relax and had fun, flying kites, swimming, sun bathing and building sand castles with Abbey. 2nd visit and will return again....
