Fantastic Site with Excellent Beach Views

This was our 2nd trip out in our new motorhome. The site was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. We chose the hard standing pitches adjacent to the beach. Initially in the 2nd row where awnings are allowed, but we moved to the front row as soon as a pitch became available. The washing facilities were clean with lovely hot water. The beach was fantastic with long walks to Lowestoft in one direction and Benacre in the other direction. Ideal for the dog. We will definitely be returning.

An Anniversary Break

We have visited White House Beach before some years ago. We decided to visit again for 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We could not have asked for better weather or things to do around this club site. The staff where excellent and very helpful, the facilities where good, the walks on the beach amazing with our dogs. Two excellent dining locations just outside the site, The Waterfront and the Ship Inn, both very different but both serving excellent food. Would recommend this site to anyone who likes walking and dining out, loved it.

Excellent first visit

This was our first visit to this site and thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. The site is split into two sections, the main larger section with reception and usual information etc and a second smaller section opposite and adjacent to the beach. The site is well maintained with friendly staff who are always available, informative, helpful and friendly. The entrance to the site is a bit daunting down a narrow road with cars parked either side! Especially if you meet another caravan coming the other way from either the CMC site or the Parkdean site further along the road. However we were suitably impressed when we actually arrived on site, a credit to the wardens who work hard to maintain both sections of the site. Nothing to do with the hard working wardens but the shower blocks are outdated in design and do need updating however they do keep then spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water (could do with a couple more hooks in the smallish showers). Being able to walk out the gate and on to the beach was wonderful, and if you are up early enough a treat to see the sun rising. A short drive away into Lowestoft South beach for a lovely walk along the spotlessly clean beach and the prom and lunch in the Thatched café on the prom. Will definitely return.

Dissapointing, and the smell..

Friendly wardens, site was easy to access and the pitch was spacious. Really good location for cycling and Great Yarmouth was fantastic. A few complaints however: 1) Smell of sewerage from the plant next door was unpleasant and constant. 2) Toilets have tiny sinks which are far too small and lead you to soaking yourself and the floor. And the hairdryer was out of order 3) Play park is inadequate as it lacked any proper equipment. Dreadful to call it a "playground" 4) Traffic management - the exit barrier is also an entry barrier but if you are leaving at the same time as somebody coming in there is not enough room and you have to mess about as you cant see it until you are in it Overall a dissapointing site which we were not expecting as we have been to many sites which have generally been great. We will not be returning to this site again as there are many other touring parks in the area that have been pointed out to us.

Mostly excellent with minor issues

Overall the site is in a great location and we are regular visitors. The site is well maintained with friendly staff who are always available and helpful. We take two young grandchildren and it is a shame that the play are which is very small is also quite sad with facilities. One square climbing frame. That's it. The site does attract a lot of grandparents and parents with young children and I feel more should be available at the prices charged. Also an issue on the last visit was a strong smell of sewerage which was explained to me as being a drain behind the site that goes into the sea and is worse after heavy rainfall. It was quite invasive but we have visited before and although evident was not as bad. I feel if you are nearer the sea side of the site you will be less affected. I am making this sound an unattractive site but I would reiterate that it is otherwise spotless and very well placed.

Great first visit

Wouldn't normally use a site so close to home but really glad we did. From arrival and interaction with the great, informative and hard working wardens to our pitch on the beach side and even the weather conspired to give us an excellent time. The grandtwins enjoyed the caravan, the site and the direct access to the beach. All facilities we well kept and everything worked as it should. Kessingland is a great location for visiting some of the local attractions from Africa Alive, the Transport Museum and of course Pleasurewood Hills. For me the beach around the sluice was an excellent place to spot wildlife. Would definitely stay again

Friendly site...

This site is split in two, the main larger section with the reception area is on the right as you approach from Beach Road, and the second smaller part is opposite, adjacent to the beach. You need to book in at the main section before driving round to the beach-side location. I stayed 5 days on the main section and was very satisfied. Quiet, clean, well-maintained with fairly spacious pitches, dog-friendly and I had no complaints with the amenity block - hot water & clean & tidy. The dog walk is behind the amenity block. The lovely St Edmunds Church, with its partially thatched roof, is a 15/20 minute walk away and Kessingland is a quiet, unassuming town. My only slight gripe is the amount of washing lines on view on the campsite - I've never seen so many - a lot of them weren't tucked away out of sight but in full view. I could see 3 near me whilst sitting in my awning. Otherwise, an excellent site.

Never dusappoints

Just love this site. Close to beach, pub and an excellent restaurant close by, but need to book in advance. Fish and chip shop, tea room and gift shop also very close. The site is always pristine, a dog wash on beach side. There's even a trough with fresh herbs growing for campers to use. We have been there several times, the wardens are always so friendly and welcoming and keep the whole site clean and tidy. The shower blocks do need updating but spotless. We will return again and again I am sure.

Great Location

Another visit to this lovely site, staff were excellent as per usual and the facilities were also as per club standards. Little disappointed this time with the noise from dogs and also the usual site speeding. Overall this is a great site by the sea, shame it isn't open all year round as it would be an excellent Christmas/New Year getaway

Part of Our tour of East Anglia

The entrance to the site was a bit daunting down a narrow road with cars parked either side! However we were suitably impressed when we actually arrived on site to be warmly welcomed by the Assistant Wardens. The facilities were up to the usual Club standards and kept immaculate by the hard working wardens.
