Get it booked!
We’ve had a fabulous 4 night stay here. Immaculate site. Super friendly welcome from the wardens. Walks in abundance from the site. Beautiful Grassington is a 30 minute stroll away. If you like a good pub then the Devonshire is to be recommended for a great roast dinner. If you like a curry then Rozis is a must. Grassington is full of quaint shops and cafes. A visit to Malham is well worth it (30 minute drive) and there are some lovely walks from there. We also visited Skipton from this site and that was a lovely day too. We have loved every minute. Thanks to the lovely wardens for your friendliness and for keeping the jags in such a lovely clean condition. We shall return.
Our second visit
Our second visit to this wonderful site and it most certainly won’t be our last. As previously the site facilities are well looked after and the wardens very friendly. The band system for the toilet and showers worked very well. The location of the site is perfect with lots of great walks and the lovely Grassington a short walk away. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great site with friendly wardens
Another excellent 6 day visit, the wardens here are excellent and you feel very safe. They are doing an excellent job in difficult circumstances with all the covid 19 restrictions. Well Done all
August 2020
Very clean site, the toilet blocks were kept particularly clean which is great during COVID season.
The shop could do with having more stock in it but there is a local shop a short walk away.
Lots to do a short drive away. We will return.
Another fabulous site
We have visited here on 2 occasions, the first of which was cut short due to the lock down in March. A lovely site in a peaceful setting. It is spotlessly clean and the toilet and shower facilities are very good. There are lots of good walks in the area. It takes around 30 mins to walk into Grassington which can be done partly via the riverside where there are several shops and pubs. Our next trip here is already booked!
First visit, we will return after school holidays
Nice stay and well located for walks. The showers were clean and I felt safe using them. The site is well maintained and the wardens are always on hand without being officious. The site was full and despite this quiet and peaceful with the exception of some children, that said it’s school holidays and we wouldn’t normally visit a club site in August. We will stay again but outside of peak holiday periods. The rabbit holes are an issue on grass pitches, perhaps using plastic honeycomb material on the grass pitches will stop them digging holes all over, I was careful but still managed to sprain my ankle stepping in one.
Club Standards are slipping ?
We have been staying at Wharfedale site for over 30yrs and absolutely love the area which is great for anyone who has a love of the outdoors. Having said that, I am afraid we were not entirely happy when we stayed a week in July. I am not sure what’s happening but the standards of the club sites appears to be slipping. On our stay at Wharfedale this year we saw Motorhomes parked on the wrong side of the peg with no intervention by the wardens? A large Motorhome on pitch with a 4x4 truck at one side and a large tent / awning on the other side which was so large it went over the grass between the pitches and was pegged into the adjacent pitch! The guy next door was struggling to get into his car! When the people on the next pitch left the warden put a cone on the middle of the pitch to (I assume), prevent anyone else from using it?? A caravan close to us had their dog loose, never had it tied up?? People ignoring the rules around using bands to use the shower and toilets? Caravans and motorhomes arriving an hour before the earliest arrival times ? Is this a sign of the times with lots of new members joining the Club who have never stayed on a site before or people doing as they please because of a lack of monitoring and interventions, sad!

A wonderful trip
A brilliant experience. Our first trip out since corona virus and it was so good to be away. Wardens work so hard to keep the site smart and safe. Wonderful walks from the site no need to use the car. Thankyou CAMC.

Very well kept site
Our first post covid trip was a great success. We did not use the facities, but they appeared to be well organised. This is our favourite local site, it is excellent for walking, running and both road and mountain biking. The current wardens are doing a great job, the site is looking very neat and tidy, better than it has ever been. I know that it is very difficult for the wardens to police, bu some of our fellow campers were flouting the rules by having visitors, one van in perticular had different sets of visitors on three seperate days. One way the site could be improved would be by the addition of serviced pitches, this could have been done in the recent upgrade.
