This is our first visit to this site in over 5 years. Also our first trip out since lockdown. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at this site and will most certainly return. The special rules for Covid worked very well and we also appreciated the work done by the wardens. The 3 band system for accessing the facilities worked very well. We enjoyed the dog walks from the site and also the walk to the local Spar. We had Sunday lunch at the Old Hall Inn which was great. The Inn had introduced sensible rules. We also discovered Lintern Falls, what a lovely place to visit.

First post lock down visit

The wardens are doing a superb job in these challenging times. Welcome very friendly, clear about new arrangements. The site is very well kept, the facilities are spotless with additional hand gel stations. The wrist band system works well with hooks in place when using the facilities to try and ensure no more than 3 people are in at any one time. However some members seem to think this is only required if using showers. Thanks to the wardens for looking after everyone and trying to keep people as safe as possible.

Lovely site

What a find, and almost on our doorstep ... very helpful, friendly wardens, site what well kept and facilities were spotlessly clean. Nice walks directly from the site and surrounding area is lovely. Thoroughly recommend the Devonshire in Grassington as we had a superb meal there with excellent friendly service. We will be back when it re-opens in March.

A gem of a site!

First Xmas in our new moho and we couldn't have chosen a better site for our 3 nights. Gorgeous site, brilliant and spotless facilities and amazing wardens! So friendly and welcoming. The site being located in a stunning part of the country deserves another visit for sure. Linton Falls are well worth a visit as well as Grassington of course. A gem of a site in a gem of a location. Thank you to all and Happy New Year!

Lovely Dickension Market venue

We booked the site as we have done previously to go to the Dickensian market at Grassington. Arriving on site on the Friday 29th November we had a pleasant chat with the lady on reception and booked in with no fuss. Its a lovely site and the facilities are very modern. We then drove round to chose a pitch and saw a filling up point with tap labelled clean water. Having started to fill the tank with a hose we were amazed when a very rude member of staff dressed in Dickensian costume came bounding up shouting 'you can't fill up here' in a very non friendly manner. My wife looked horrified. 'Why not' says I? 'Because you are blocking the road for other users' says the ever more rude and threatening man. I was dumbfounded. What customer service skills training had he had? He then walked off shouting 'you should know better' having upset me and my wife and to the amazement of other people watching. Just then a large motorhome passed ours with ease continuing to drive by on the roadway....no problem there. We drove round to a pitch and filled our van via the same fresh water tap filling point with our container not the hose. There was nothing at the filling up point to say hoses could not be used. So thank you to this employee. You ruined our weekend by your attitude. Perhaps you should talk to people as you would like to be spoken to. Not with the rudeness you showed to us. A friendly manner and discussion would have been a far better tack. Merry Christmas!

Only Short Stay!

Only a short 1 night stay whilst visiting attraction in local area but will be returning for a longer stay in the future. Helpful friendly wardens, fantastic dog walk from site, spotless and plentiful facilities and well maintained site all made the stay perfect. Will be returning to take advantage of the local area for walking and visitor attractions.

Super

Just had a fortnight here in November. Superb walking opportunities and transport links from Grassington. The amenities blocks were spotless and the staff could not not have been more helpful. I can't wait to return in the summer.

Caravan and Motor-home Club at its best.

This site at Wharfedale has to be one of the best. The staff are always so very good and helpful and keep the facilities in such good order. The lay-out of the site is extremely good and also very dog friendly with excellent walking areas nearby. The village of Grassington, a short walk away is a gem. If fishing is your sport then the wonders of the River Wharfe await your pleasure. The site is also very well located for visits to the many towns and villages situated in this part of North Yorkshire.

The Best

On arrival met by the most friendly and helpful site wardens they cannot do enough to make your stay great. The site is so tidy and well kept, toilets are spotless. We were there for the 40’s weekend the wardens went the extra mile dressing up and joining in with the theme of the weekend. We absolutely love this site great places to walk and lovely bar on long ashes 5 minute walk from the site. We will be back!!
