FANTASTIC

One of the best sites we have stayed at,the wardens are definately the best and most helpful we have had the pleasure to meet, nothing is too much trouble for them. The view is outstanding and what an amazing sunset, the coastal walk to the beach is challenging and best avoided if you have any walking problems but still plenty of other places to visit nearby. Will definately go back there, the mobile fish and chip van is wonderful too.

A great site

Outstanding wardens who constantly go out of their way to help and support members. A great site for adults, but with little to offer families on site other than a seldom used play area. It's the north coast so it's windy and using awnings can be a challenge particularly when the South Westerlies are blowing from the Atlantic. On exposed pitches it can be a bumpy time.  The walks and scenery scenery are stunning. Need to enforce the arrival time rules to avoid face to face problems.

Little Gem

Been back about a fortnight now and still have great memories of a fantastic week at a time when the site was fully booked. Wardens very helpful and polite even, when asking to swap a pitch to help out another fellow camper! This site is a little gem and easily accessible to most of North Cornwall's attractions - Padstow, Rock, Bude & Port Isaac not mention the stunning scenic walks. Don't worry if you forget something the shop will probably have it. However sometimes, I read some of the reviews on here and see that people just have to make a point. higher fencing around bins( most sites are the same). Watch the wind(you are on a cliff top - what do you expect?) just choose a sheltered pitch - there are some available. just don't let them put you off you won't regret it and we cannot wait to go back when diary allows.

Beautiful site

We are at present 7 nights into our 15 night holiday, the site is glorious. Walks to Tintagel and Boscastle along the coast path, views are stunning but may not suit less able bodied visitors. Wardens couldn't have been more helpful, showers and toilets spotless. As you'd expect because of the cliff side position it does get a bit windy, if you are going to be putting an awning up, make sure it's in good order as one couples disintegrated! We took ours down until the wind subsided. All in all a fantastic site, and hopefully work commitments allowing we will return.

very nice

we stayed for one night only and had a great time. the site is beautiful and the wardens were great. my only moan is we parked next to the site wardens compound and the lawn mowers were coming and going all day. But that said it was a very nice stay and would love to go back with a cliff top pitch next time.

Fab yet again

We returned here for three nights to celebrate my birthday (21again of course!). Welcoming & friendly wardens who were very helpful at all times. I am currently sitting writing this using the CC Wifi which is no problem. The reception now sells a multitude of goodies from pasties/pies/bread & milk to the unexpected need for suntan lotion yesterday. The weather has been fab (except this morning) so you would struggle to find a better site. One slight improvement would be higher fencing around the waste bins areas to shield them from view & the second 'temporary' toilet/shower block needs improving to a new permanent one Asap. All in all though one of our Favorite sites which we are already looking forward to returning to in September .

Awesome

What a stunning site. We've just stayed for ten days and pitched on the grass pitches at the far end...better views in my opinion. Facilities fab and even have music in the shower/toilets. Fish & Chip van visits on Thursdays and Sunday's. Coastal path within yards of the site. Stunning views, so very peaceful...remember this is a remote countryside site...no quick walks to the shop or pub and yes approach roads can be tight, just take your time and use the CC guides directions. Wardens were spot on and very cheery, thank you! Highlight for me was witnessing a Peregrine Falcon duelling with a Buzzard right above me as I sat reading...as the title says, Awesome.

Large and busy site with superb sea views

It is easy to see why this site fills quickly - it has such a great cliff top location ON the coastal footpath. Ok it is several miles from shops and pubs but the on site shop caters for essentials, including fresh bread, pasties and newspapers. In addition a fish & chip van calls twice weekly. The welcome from the wardens was great and the pitches are well spaced. The terracing allows more vans to have direct sea views, but there is still an amusing scramble for the front row/ cliff edge pitches as soon as one becomes available! Whilst it may help to arrive in good time we noted that some arrivals stack up well before the published time. We make no excuse from highlighting the quiet, natural scenery here, but then our visit did not include an Atlantic gale! Few residents are brave enough to put up awnings here. Wi-fi is on the club pay system.
