Perfect

arrived at the site and was impressed with the first impressions. Long driveway down to reception with plenty of flowers and greenery. The staff were very friendly. we chose our pitch which was perfect, although I do feel we were fortunate to get that certain pitch. It was hard standing tucked away. There were plenty of dog walks which suited us as we had dogs. The facilities ie toilet block was very clean and the COVID System they had in place seemed to work very well with everyone following the rules. I would certainly recommend this site and we will definitely be going back next year . It is so well placed to visit other places

Cornish countryside location, not too far from the sea.

Our first visit to Treamble Valley, on arrival we were allocated a grass pitch for our VW Camper & awning. Many of the pitches are sloping so remember your wedges! Staff were friendly & helpful when needed, the facilities clean & tidy. Perranporth is 3miles away & there is a walking route some of which is on narrow very quiet / hilly roads. There’s not much in the immediate locality so you do need to drive off site. A really good dog walk & although we don’t travel with children they all looked happy enough. Although as warned don’t expect a phone signal & the WiFi is very poor. Overall an enjoyable stay.

First visit

Our first visit to this lovely site. Good reception in difficult circumstances due to Covid. Well laid out site with big pitches. We managed to choose one of the wettest pitches and were warned that it would be wet if it rained. It did and was! A long way to the loo block but not a problem if you left early! Very good arrangements re Covid and most people kept to social distancing. Brilliant dog walk, the best we’ve come across. Busy due to school holidays, but still reasonably quiet. Long walk to beaches, but easy walk to local pub ! We would definitely recommend

What a strange year.

Another good stay at treamble. The site is being well looked after and cared for by the wardens, they’re doing a brilliant job under very difficult and different circumstances that we/them have ever had to experience. It’s a shame some of other caravaners and their children aren’t doing the same. Litter being left anywhere, showers not being mopped after use, children running around other people’s pitches, caravaners expecting the wardens to be a their beck and call 24/7. It also seems that people don’t understand the new wristband idea with toilet block, it’s simple take it with you and if there’s a hook free put it on it, go in do what you have to do, come out and collect it. Many many people are going in regardless of wether the hooks are full or not and not using their bands meaning on occasions there are more people in than there should be. (Someone even said when challenged about not using a band that if the wardens really only wanted limited numbers in there they should stand outside monitoring it like in shops !!!!) Think they’ve forgotten we’re in the middle of a global pandemic where thousands are dying. I’d like to thank all the staff for all hard work during such a difficult and strange year, a year no one could have predicted.

Unfriendly staff

The guy in the reception was completely unpolite with me and my friends. All started in the reception shouting with another receptionist girl in the reception (probably his wife?) she was being helpful and he was nasty on her in front of me, completely inappropriate! Felt bad for her. After a long journey from Scotland, I had to deal with a moody guy replying terrible to my questions. From being unhelpful to the grumpiest guy nagging around with his buggy. My friend, that arrived just after me, also witnessed some of the guy moments and said without knowing my own previous experience: - Did you meet the guy in the reception? He was very unpleasant to me and my son. Anyway was just 1 day with all these problems, the place is nice and doesn't really match with the person who runs the thing there. Was just a day with bad experiences, definitely will not coming back, he is clearly doing a job that he hates and this reflects on how he behaves with customers.

Lovely stay

Just returned from our annual holiday and once again we were sad to leave, this was our 10th year, Love staying here, meeting friends year after year. Wardens pleasant and kept themselves to themselves. There is a new system this year for covid where you are given a band to use to enter shower and toilets. You leave the band on a hook outside and take it when you leave, had mine taken numerous times, wardens added more hooks second week to allow more people in. Loved my hardstanding pitch. Wardens say they are stopping overnight arrivals next year which i feel would be a bad move as many travel many hours to get there so the stop overnight at top is a welcome rest before setting up, i would gladly pay for the overnight stay. Also with the narrow lane entrance im sure there will be many issues with blockages as not all people leave by 11am, some book extra days and leave anytime. It does say on arrival, park up and we will see you in the morning on a welcome board as you arrive. Only issues were people coming onto site late going onto a pitch waiting for people to leave overnight then moving to a better pitch at 7am onwards waking up everyone around them. Secondly the toilet blocks would benefit from updating but they are adequate but in my opinion a little money spent they could be better. We will be back next year.

Surly unhelpful staff.

The staff were particualrly unhelpful. I moved out after one night to the campsite"little Treamble" up the road who were much friendlier.

Beautiful rural site

Our second site in our post lockdown trip to Cornwall. A beautiful entrance way and manicured site greeted us set deep into an old quarry. Well maintained with really helpful and happy staff, who worked really hard to keep the facilities deep cleaned and disinfected. Lovely rural walks from the site and some individual secluded pitches. Lovely for a quiet away from it all stay. Again the hard work of the staff made our stay relaxing and free from concern. A good choice for us on our first foray south this year.

Really peaceful with friendly staff and a very good onsite dog walk

On arrival you go into reception to pay for your stay and are shown on the map where there are available pitches, you then go into the site and choose which one you want. You then go back to reception to let them know. We opted for a hard standing pitch after reading other reviews about many of the grass pitches being on slopes and headed straight to one of them that were hard standing. We were on pitch 122 at the end of the cul de sac which meant it was very quiet, also there was plenty of space and we got sunshine from the morning until early evening (we then needed to move across to the opposite side with our chairs, which because that pitch wasn't taken we were able to do). Looking around the site there did seem plenty of flat grass pitches which my daughter and dog may have preferred. Although some of the grass pitches seemed to offer less privacy so we were pleased with our choice. Near to our pitch was the dog walk, it is great, a maze of woods and flowers where your dog can be off the lead. I found it to be very clean of mess so that was good to see. Obviously there are dog bins provided for tidying up after your dog and us owners need to ensure that we do our bit in keeping it nice. If you want to go on a longer walk there are a few to choose from (the walks are up on the wall in the laundry room.) We went on an hour walk to Perran Sands beach & into Perranporth which was really pleasant. It is good to have a stunning dog friendly beach within walking distance. Otherwise there are circular walks that you can do which are about 50 minutes (so not quite as taxing.) The toilets and shower block were clean. Overall the shower pressure was good and there was plenty of hot water. There is currently a system in place due to the coronavirus risk to limit the numbers in the block to 6 at a time and then within the block every other toilet/shower is not in use. There is hand gel to be used before and after entering the facilities. Unfortunately but understandably, the Caravan Club have decided not to open up the playground (which looked good fun.) I would probably have rated it higher for families if this had been open. Overall it is a site my family and I would be keen to go back to. Obviously the sunny weather made it even more enjoyable! Our first trip out since February and we were very pleased with our choice.
