Full up, but still quiet
I inadvertently booked two nights here on May bank holiday and was fearing the worst when we arrived at 7:30 on the Friday evening. We took the last hardstanding pitch as the site was almost completely full. We normally like pitches with "a view" but as you are in a wood, one pitch is as good as another. The pitches are spacious and the site has an airy feel to it with different areas screened by trees. So even though it was full it didn't feel like it. Wardens friendly as usual and keep the site tidy.
For some the lack of a toilet block and showers may be a show stopper but you'll be missing out. We loved watching the squirrels running around outside our windows, and the Deer in the woods a short walk away.
You will need a car to get about, as no pubs too close and if you tried it, the walk is on a busy road with no footpath.
In summary, a tidy peaceful site, lacking toilets and showers, but well worth a visit for a relaxed break.
