Great Site

This is the first time we have stayed at this site and it won't be the last. Everything about it is good - the site, the location, the staff. Perfectly situated on the estate it is easy to get to so many places. Bus service right outside the gate gets you to either Kings Lynn or Hunstanton quickly. We are already making plans for our next visit. Just one point though - the pictures make it look flat. It isn't so you are more likely than not to need levellers. This is a small price to pay though for such a good site.

Normal service resumed

We have stayed here several times but were disappointed last year that the local bus services which we had used in the past had been curtailed. We were delighted to find at our recent visit that these have now been reinstated and it made a big difference to our stay. Everything else at the site was of the usual very high standard and it remains a firm favourite. Can we encourage members to make full use of the buses - the ride through to Hunstanton may not be quick but it passes through some lovely villages and provides a real insight into the area and it's very friendly inhabitants.

Sandringham Estate CC Site

Spent 10 days early July 2016 on this lovely site, wardens are very helpful and pleasant. Great location especially for visiting NT properties & gardens (Oxburgh Hall, Peckover House, Blickling Estate. Anglesey Abbey and Orford Ness are further away but well worth the effort) Sandringham House is about 30/40 minutes walk away and well worth the visit. Would certainly recommend this site.

A wonderful week with a glitch at the end...but staff came up trumps!

The two of us stayed for a week at Sandringham and we had a peaceful, relaxing break in a very pretty location. The Sandringham site is ideal for an exploration of the North Norfolk coast and all it has to offer. On our last day we went out for the day and on returning to the site, we pulled through the barrier and our car just gave up the ghost and refused to move any more! We arranged recovery of our car and van for the next day, but unfortunately when Green Flag arrived they couldn't get the lights on the van working. We spoke to the very helpful and understanding staff who allowed us to leave the van overnight for Green Flag to recover to our home the next day, which they duly did. Many thanks and recognition must go to the staff of the Sandringham site for being so accommodating and supportive. We will be going back!!

A gem in the woods

This site is a gem. It has a perfect setting in the woods yet most pitches are in direct sun (when the sun is shining). The whole site, even when full (and it was almost full the six nights we were there), has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The site is also beautifully maintained by the welcoming and very friendly wardens. A place which I regard as a "must" to visit, not far away yet not mentioned in the site leaflet, is the National Trust owned Oxburgh Hall. As well as being interesting inside - access to the priest hole is a must for those agile enough to wriggle inside - the setting, with the hall surrounded by a moat, is outstanding. The main other place we visited was Holkham Hall because I raced an event based there. There is plenty of lovely offroad running (or walking) through the woods directly from the site. And provided the A roads are avoided the road cycling is perfect on quiet lanes. I especially recommend the route to Downham Market, which is a village worth visiting whatever the means of transport. Just touring around reveals so many delightful villages. Yes the toilet blocks are a little dated but are totally adequate and kept spotlessly clean. All in all every aspect is thoroughly recommended.

We spent a great week at Sandringham. The Wardens were very friendly and really helpful, Toilets were clean and tidy and a very good spacious pitch. Sandringham house and gardens was without doubt a great place to visit we cycled there and found the roads not too busy once you got off the main road outside the caravan site. We also Cycled to Anmer Church which was very peaceful and a lovely bike ride. We drove to Heacham beach North side and parked up for £3.50 for 4 hours and walked from there along the promenade to Hunstanton that took about an hour but what a lovely walk to Old Hunstanton

Regal escapes...

Lovely location in the heart of the estate woodlands. We have been twice and are planning a return. There's a great deal to do and see around and about. The only issue is the showers are in limited supply. As usual, the typically high standards of the club are maintained by the hard working wardens. Thank you
