Trip to Norfolk

Second time at this site and we love it, Agree facilities could do with updating but dont let that put you off they are kept spotless by the wardens. Very good butcher up the road, However give the Fish and chip van a wide berth , Ours went in the bin , Will be back soon as there is somuch to see and do in the area.

First Outing in Caravan

This was our first journey with the caravan. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The site and amenities were extremely clean. We will definitely be visiting again.

Overnight stay

We had a really friendly welcome from the wardens which is always nice after a long journey. As we only stayed one night we didn't explore the surrounding area but did cycle to Sandringham Estate and toured the House, Gardens etc. Well laid out site and one we would definitely visit again.

Clean friendly & quiet campsite

We have stayed in a few Caravan Club campsites, the Sandringham Estate turned out to be the best so far, the facilities were clean and wardens friendly as expected from a Caravan Club site. The site had spacious pitches and surrounded by beautiful woodlands and the sound of song birds. An easy and scenic 25mins stroll through the woods up to Sandringham house, visited the house, museum and gardens and strolled back to the campsite just in time for the fish and chips van at 6pm. Lovely site, we look forward to coming back again!

A quiet break

A lovely, well set out site. Friendly staff and nice welcome. Really relaxing in the woods with only a little road noise during the day time. There is a very pleasant 1.5mile walk through the woods up to the visitor centre at Sandringham house and an a very short walk through the woods to the local club in the evening for real ale! The local bus to Kings Lynn stops outside the site gates or, for a more regular service, the Coast Hopper bus stops outside the club on the main road. It is an ideal base for touring this part of Norfolk with many nature reserves and houses to visit. A local chip van visits the site (not sure about the chips) on a regular basis as does a pizza van (not sampled). The spotless facilities make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommended. We will return.

A Wonderful Part of the Country

We like bird watching so this area is wonderful for us with RSPB reserves such as Snettisham and Titchwell close by. Another great area is the carpark near Holkham Dunes (Lady Ann's Drive), saw red kite, marsh harrier and buzzard all together from the car park. One night I was woken at 1.15 a.m. by a wood pigeon calling - in the night, no he was trying to drown out the lovely sound of a nightingale coming from the woods - he didn't suceed. The site is in an ideal spot, but some of the pitches are quite sloping. A lovely touch on this site is that the wardens have made a herb garden and you can take some for cooking. I made a sauce to go with some local fish. This is a very well kept site.

Excellent site

First time at this site............and not disappointed. We have a little dog so it was just the perfect site with all the woodlands around for her to go and investigate on her walks.....I think she is still suffering from Sandringham syndrome and wants to go back. Apart the site was excellent... clean well looked after and friendly wardens. Yes if i go that way again i would not hesitate to book my spot and enjoy.

Peace amongst the trees

We spent a weeks holiday here in April with our 2 Irish setters. It was beautiful and peaceful amongst the trees. Lovely clean site our first time with the Caravan Club and only our second time caravanning. Very impressed. Excellent facilities and dog friendly. Good location for access to the North Norfolk beaches which our dogs loved. Highly recommend it.

What a lovely site

We had a 4 night stay in May, found the site very easily, the road leading up to the entrance was in bloom, we had a lovely level pitch (pitch81) had the sun most of the day when it eventually came out! Great location for touring North Norfolk. Will defiantly use the site again..
