Not to be Missed

This has site helpful staff, and is set in a lovely location. Very peaceful site and the facilities were lovely and clean, go here at least once we had a pitch away from the childrens play area as our are a little older and the views were wonderful.

Our favourite site so far

This is now is our favourite CC site. It's in a beautiful setting, lovely wildlife, great walks and a fab playground for the kids. We were also made to feel really welcome by the nicest wardens we have ever met. They couldn't have been more helpful, fun and had loads of interesting information to share. We had terrible weather but we will definitely be back. Thank you Sandringham!

What a lovely site

What a lovely site ( despite what the weather threw at us). Wardens were very good keeping us updated when the electricity failed due to the weather. There is a playground for the children and lovely walks in the woods. Try visiting Houghton Hall which is a short drive away. There are deer in the grounds and the house is amazing. In fact I would rate it more interesting than Sandringham House which we also visited ( sorry your majesty!).

Spoilt by the weather!

It was our first visit to this site and unfortunately we chose the wrong week as the weather was awful. We chose a pitch away from the children's play area and we chose well as it was very quiet and peaceful. Regarding the facilities I think they a a bit shabby for the site. I don't think there are enough showers for the size of the site as I had to queue each time and they were not left in the best condition by the previous user! I think the wardens have a very busy job on their hands, who I might add were very friendly. We went to Sandringham for a visit even though we didn't get to see the gardens due to the weather. It is a good site for exploring north norfolk. We will return at some point but hope the shower problem is sorted before we do.

Half Term Break

We stayed 5 nights here, my husband, 2 children and me. This was our 3 visit although it had been a couple of years since we last came. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and were checked in efficiently. We found a good pitch on the lower level and the children went to the park - which had been slightly extended since our last visit and is quite good. The site and facilities were clean but are now getting very shabby and require updating. There also did not seem to be enough showers and toilets and many days there were queues. But what amazed me most was the state in which the showers, basins and toilets were left in by people staying in the site, wet and muddy floors, toothpaste and hair in basins and I wont describe issues with toilets. Food prep areas were left no better and the Wardens had their work cut out just cleaning up after others. Walked up to Sandringham and dispite the freezing cold and strong winds - visited Hunstanton, Cromer and Sheringham seaside towns all of which are worth a visit. Still love the location/ setting and peacefulness of this site and will return, but toilet blocks need updating.

Lovely

Our second visit. Beautiful location, peaceful yet family friendly. Enjoyed a stroll to Sandringham and driving distantace to my childrens favourite dinosaur attraction. Shop sells delicious bacon, sausages and fresh eggs. Yum. Back again soon!

Happy Return

We stayed at this site many years ago and enjoyed it. The site seems even better now - excellent location for a restful break. Wardens, as expected, were friendly and welcoming - thank you all

Good site to use

We had never stayed on this site before. It is easy to access but I personally found the exit barriers a bit tight with a slightly larger van. You are in a forest and as expected, there are millions of pigeons just waiting to poo and tap dance on your unit. The wardens were very friendly and the cleanliness of the site reflects their hard work.  The toilet blocks are a bit dated and could do with renovation. Given the size of the site I found it surprising that there are not more three toilet cubicles available in each shower block. Queuing was a “regular” activity.  It is well worth visiting Sandringham House and the grounds. The walk from the site to the House is a reasonable distance although the actual track through the forest is rough.  We found a few places of interest but they were quite a drive from the site. The bus service is reasonable; it is conveniently located from the site but doesn’t run very often.

Fantastic site

Our first visit to this site, we were not disappointed. We took our grandson for his first camping experience and he loved it. The wardens were friendly and helpful, they gave our grandson a Tourer Explorer book, made hi feel special and encouraged him to get involved.  The site was very tidy and facilities (though a bit dated compared to some others) were spotlessly clean. Fish and chip van was very popular and all cooked fresh to order.  Will definitely visit again.  A great site and credit to the wardens.
