Thank you, and well done all

I am not in the habit of writing reviews of anyplace I visit however, having started, it would be only fair to say that The Sandringham Estate Caravan Club Site is certainly among the top three, possibly even number one, sites I have visited. The site is pleasant, relaxed, friendly and scrupulously clean; it is the ideal place for a calming and restorative break and I recommend it thoroughly to anyone. I stated at the beginning that I am not in the habit of “review” writing and that indeed is the case here. My principal reason is to compliment and profoundly thank both the Wardens and their colleagues on site for the most friendly, sympathetic and helpful assistance proffered by them to me during my stay. Having originally booked a Pitch at the site for three nights last week (26-29 July) I became aware, shortly after arriving and pitching up, of a problem with my eye which turned out to be a medical emergency requiring remedial surgery at, and regular visits to, the local Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn over the next four days. Despite initially being fully booked for part of the extended stay at the site that I now desperately required, the Wardens and Staff moved heaven and earth to ensure, and also re-assure me, that I would be able to extend my time on-site for as long as necessary to complete my treatment. I thank them all most sincerely and will be eternally grateful for their kindness, patience and re-assurance. Thank you, and well done all. Douglas Lamb, Fintry, Scotland 6 Aug 2016

Nice Site

Our first visit to this site (on our way home form Incolboro Site),we stayed for three nights. There wasn't a huge choice of pitches for us to choose from due to the sites unquestionable popularity. We quite enjoyed the walk through the woods to the Big 'Ouse up the road, not normally my cup of tea traipsing around other folks houses but the museum I thought was pretty good. The bus links to Kings Lynn were good,so we spent some time there, don't forget the Coast Hopper Bus,great if you want to spread your wings and let someone else do the driving! Thankyou to the friendly wardens who keep the facilities in good "nick"

Picture quality

Good. pleasing site with polite and helpful wardens. Top toilet block seemed a bit light on the male shower numbers. The only real complaint was the very, very poor quality TV and radio signal connection. I didn't take my satellite dish and kit and wished after the first day, that I had. The wardens were aware of the problem and said that it was being investigated. Let us hope they sort it quickly.

3rd visit

I last visited the sandringham site around ten years ago , I'm pleased to say it's pretty much unchanged . This is my third time here and I enjoyed it as much as the first time . The staff are lovely and very helpful . The site is so clean it's a credit to the caravan club .

First timer

This was my first trip in a caravan. I was a Lady on my own with 3 children. The site setting is beautiful. Has excellent clean facilities and good children's area. I felt the staff went out of their way to make my first caravan experience as smooth as possible. They were very helpful and friendly. As were all the fellow caravanners around me. Loved walking through the woods and could even get the pushchair through. Will definitely be back.

Flower Show

We stayed here for 3 nights in late July mainly to be able to visit the annual Sandringham Flower Show. This was our second visit to the site having been here earlier in the year, February in fact. Nice welcome to a well-managed site with a good sized pitch backing on to pine woodlands. Great location to see the lovely North Norfolk coast and towns. Perfect for the Flower Show with a 35 minute walk through the woods to get there. Really enjoyable stay - will be back.

Excellent site

The site at Sandringham is excellent with good size pitches, well kept, quiet and secluded. It is close enough to walk to Sandringham visitor centre and also to the pub in the nearest village. We had two small issues. Having planned to spend the weekend with my brother-in-laws family we were disappointed (as we have been before) that the caravan club will not let you reserve pitches, so we were unable to get two pitches close together. This spoiled things a bit as the younger children needed to be accompanied between the two vans. Surely this is something that can be accommodated. Even if its not specific pitches, but allowing you to reserve two pitches together, wherever they are would be very beneficial to many people. The other thing related to the children .... with no play areas on the site, its not great for them. Just being able to kick a ball about would be useful, but I can see they are constrained on space. However overall we had a lovely weekend and will probably return, although I think we will try the caravan and camping club site next door to do a comparison.

Lovely site

Stayed February 2016. We love this site & have been 6 or 7 times now. Staff are friendly & facilities are always very clean. Our favourite area on site is on the upper level but we were a disappointed that it was closed off so we couldn't have a pitch there, we did ask why & were told that it was a quiet time of year & there was only one set of wardens working so they closed that area plus one set of the toilet blocks was closed as well. We could sort of understand the toilet block being closed but it should've made no difference as to where we pitched. We were also disappointed that the office didn't have any basics this time (bread & milk etc) as a little way to travel to a shop if you just need these things. The area has lovely places to visit from the peace & quiet of walking through Sandringham park & visiting Sandringham House, to the hustle & bustle of Kings Lynn (a good selection of shops). Hunstanton is also worth a visit. Will be going back again soon.

Great Site But.....

Having stayed here several times in the past 12 years I have always liked the location and considered it one of the best Club Sites but the facilities although adequate and clean are looking a bit 'tired.' They need a refit to maintain my high esteem. Take a look at Icleborough and you will see what I mean, like being upgraded from 3 star to 5star!
