Just Lovely

Stayed for 2 nights. Very welcoming and clean site. Stayed here before as great for north Norfolk coast and Sandringham.  Very remote so shop before you set up on site.  We did sample the very good fish and chips from the van on Wednesday.  Only problem is pigeons which mess everywhere even on the van and furniture unless clear of the trees. Also jump on the roof of the van in the mornings.  Only a small issue on a really good stay.

Tea with the Queen

We booked a standard pitch here for 4 nights, for our first real tour of Norfolk. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised on the sites location amongst a forest of trees & very close to Sandringham & the coast. The Wardens were very welcoming & helpful & the pitches very roomy & plentiful. The washroom facility's were very clean & as we have come to expect from CC sites. Ive given a 4 star for peace & quiet but that no fault of the sites really but down to Wood pigeon's dancing & cooing on the caravan roof every morning & evening. Absolute gem of a site & we even had tea with the Queen. Would highly recommend.

Toilet update required

Stayed for 12 nights and overall enjoyed the site. There is a park for the children but not much else. You have to drive everywhere due to it's remote location. The toilet block we were using was tired and although it was clean it is dated. The wardens were most helpful and told us the best places to eat and visit.

Revisit again

Great site, helpful wardens and lovely surroundings, with plenty to do, before sitting back and relaxing, with cold wine and a BBQ. We will revisit again and again.............................

Nice site, limited things nearby other than beach for kids

Quite a large site that doesn't feel that large. We were on one of the few grass pitches, if you go on one of these you can not use ground sheets. Most pitches had good space to get in to, a few tight with hedges opposite making reversing hard.  Nice to watch the rabits, who are pretty brazen! Don't leave any plants out over night or expect them to be nibbled. Very close to Sandringham being that is on the estate, also kings Lynn only a 15-20min drive away. The advertised cycle route is nearer 20 miles not 15 miles as advertised and the 2 miles of track is NOT suitable for road bikes (you can detour easily enough). I suggest you review a map before going as the club map is vague to say the least. However the ride is nice and not on busy roads. Highly recommend the pizza can that comes on a Thursday. You have to go down and order and pop back. All about £8 each in a wood fired oven. You can pre-order by text or email. Some of the best pizza I've ever had even compared to Italy. Wish the guys who do this where local to us! If you want a beach avoid Hunstanton as it's tacky British seaside town with rocky/sand, better off going to old Hunstanton, it has large 1500 car park (£6 all day with 2m height restrictions) that is on grass for a sandy (with some shells) Toilets though at car park, and one shop for food.

Good location

Stayed here for 5 nights, good toilet block, but could be bigger as only 3 toilets, so in the morning was always a queue.  Had take away vans in a few times in the week which was good.  Sandringham house is about 45 minute walk away and there is a cycle route into Kings Lynn which is well worth doing. A very scenic run going through Castle Rising.  Barking Dogs were a real nuisance, cannot understand why owners cannot control them.  Wifi on site at £25 per year.  A good site for discovering Norfolk, Kings Lynn golf club is only 3 miles away????

Had A Good Week

We stayed for a week in August. A very friendly welcome from the wardens, who also helped us find a really good pitch. There is a well stocked shop with local produce - the bacon and pork sausages were great! This is a good place to visit North West Norfolk and all its attractions. A very family and dog friendly site.

Summer holiday

Our second visit to this site, this time in the height of summer. Site was quite noisy with children but we were pitched close to the play area although most of the noise came from children on bikes and scooters racing around the road unsupervised and paying no attention to the one way system. This is a great site with plenty of dog walks, friendly wardens, access to local attractions and was always kept clean and tidy. Facilities are good and kept immaculate but could benefit from updating soon. A word of warning...serious infestations on caravans and awnings of flying ants several times during our stay so would recommend fly blinds used in warm weather. Still thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.
