Lovely site

Stayed here for one night enroute home. Managed to get a pitch (no.16) in a sunny open glade area of the site. Ample room on the pitch and although the site was full, it didn't seem that way as it's spaced out. The wardens were friendly and offered good advice. We walked to Sandringham House on the route recommended by the site but found walking mostly road side on the return leg to be easier with a push-chair. We struggled to obtain a satellite signal but plugged into the aerial bollard with a cable for our tv signal, so remember your coax lead. All in all a very nice stay but not long enough.

Lovely friendly site

Wardens very friendly and welcoming, site was quite and very clean and tidy all round, close to go shopping in Kings Lynn where busses run regularly from the entrance of the site.  Didn't do much walking as the weather wasn't great but have done in the past. Will definitely be returning.

Second time this year

We have just returned from our second stay this year on this lovely site. A warm welcome from wardens who are always happy to chat. The facilities are clean as would expect from CC standards - have to say that our block had an extension built with 3 new showers and it did highlight how dated the original facilities are but despite this were always spotlessly clean. The site is located close to the North Norfolk coast with Kings Lynn close by for shopping. Also a nice walk through the trees to Sandringham House and Gardens. The site was very busy all weekend despite the time of year. We had one wet day that didn't spoil the weekend - we heard the weather forecast and planned around it. Will definitely return.

EXCELLENT END TO THE SEASON

This was our first visit to the site and were immediately impressed with the welcome at reception and overall standard of upkeep of the site. The site is approached on a minor road leading to the Sandringham estate and the verges and hedges are immaculate. The site itself is in a woodland setting with an abundance of birds and other wildlife. Forest walks start within the Site and there are plenty of opportunities for longer distance walks. Generally peaceful with the noise of the busy Kings Lynn/Hunstanton Road hardly noticeable. The staff (two couples) are unfailingly polite with a heap of information. One couple are keen cyclists and gave me lots of tips on cycle routes. Very enjoyable ride into Kings Lynn on well signposted cycle paths and quiet country lanes. Sandringham estate visitors Centre and House is a few minutes drive away and worth a visit. We spent a good few hours exploring the gardens, House and museum as well as enjoying the café where the food is excellent. Apart from this the north and west Norfolk coast is not far away and a beach combers and birdwatchers paradise. Norwich makes a good day out and is a nice drive through undulating Norfolk countryside. This was our last trip of this season and thanks to the staff and site, we ended on a high! second visit

This is the second time we have visited this site and thankfully this time it was dry. We were able to get some good walking in the forest and also to the visitors center for Sandringham, which is worth a visit. We didn't do the house this time as we had done this previously, but had a very enjoyable stay. We will definitely return.

Caravan Club Standards

I have visited 8 club sites so far this year all were to the same excellent standards in every way. I would like to say thank you to the helpful and courteous staff of the Caravan Club both on sites and in addmin.

Lovely Rural Site

Just had a lovely short break (2 nights) on this site. Friendly wardens, nice location, very rural but good bus service to Kings Lynn or Hunstanton. Good walk to Sandringham House. Fish and chip van visits and also a pizza van. Did not try any though, maybe next time. Good walking and cycling. Will come back next year hopefully. enjoyed our stay.

Nice Site, shame about our pitch

We have stayed at this site on several occasions and this was a last minute decision due to problems with the CS site we had booked. We telephoned the warden who told us the only pitches available were on grass but as we were only staying 3 nights (and it had been dry) we booked in. Unfortunately the pitch was quite sloping, full of rabbit holes and quite muddy. For this we paid exactly the same as for a spacious hardstanding pitch - £24.20pn. I don't know why breathable groundsheets were not allowed as the pitch could not have suffered any more damage! Everything had to be cleaned off before we left - aquaroll, wastemaster, table, chairs, etc. I feel that the grass pitches at this site are vastly inferior to the hardstandings and should be charged at a cheaper rate. In addition the grass area behind the pitches was used by several people as an unofficial dog walk. The site itself is very pleasant with direct walks through the woods on to the Estate. Facilities are well kept and usual CC standard although the block we used could probably do with a bit of refurbishment.

Pleas lift your groundsheet!!

A return trip for 2 nights, everything you would expect from a caravan club site.  BUT - we arrived late in the day and understand that on a full site you have to take what pitches are on offer.  As a motorhomers we like a fairly flat pitch.  The only one suitable had been used previously by an outfit with an awning and they obviously did not lift their groundsheet during the day.  Where our door was positioned was mud and to make matters worse there was signs that the grey water tank had been leaking or emptied out on the pitch!!!!  We did not let it spoil our stay but it was a nuisance and the mindlessness of a few spoils it for others.
