Better than ever

We visit this site at least once a year and it is one of our favourite sites. There are fantastic walks and the additional dog walk on site is an added bonus. This site is central for sightseeing around Norfolk and there are plenty of places to visit nearby. Asda and Sainsburys are only a 10 minute drive away and there is a local Chinese takeaway in Dersingham which we would highly recommend. There has been a change of wardens since our last visit and, whilst the previous wardens were very good, the new wardens are excellent, particularly the ladies who were extremely pleasant and welcoming. We would highly recommend this site.

Please note, we gave 5 STARS for every category in the rating but the website changed some of our ratings for some reason.

Great site

Just spent a week at the site and everything was perfect, even the weather. The woodland location is ideal and the dogs loved it too. We will definitely be back.

A lovely stay

We stopped here for 4 nights. We got a very warm welcome and had a good choice of pitches to go for. Warden team we're really friendly. There is plenty of walking in the area but if you don't have a car, cycles or buses are the only way. The no.11 service was not very reliable outside of the site, but the Lynx service on the A149 was brilliant. The toilet blocks are a little old fashioned by current standards but we're clean and functional all the same. You do get some road noise but it's not that bad. On the flip side you gets lots of birds especially in the morning and that's lovely. We had a great time and would come again but for fewer nights.

Perfect

We love this site, our first outing in 2017, its only a hour from home so fairly local for us. Arrived to a lovely warm smiley welcome from helpful friendly wardens. It wasn't too busy so we had a choice of a few pitches. The site is kept immaculate even at the tail end of the winter it still looked clean and tidy. Showers/toilets/washing up area all spotlessly clean and plenty of hot water. Showers spacious with plenty of hooks to hang bits and pieces and enough elbow room to dry and get dressed. We were lucky with the weather which sunny and warm. Plenty of walking through the woods and nice walk to Sandringham, we had lunch in the visitor centre café and a stroll back to site after in the sunshine. The roads are fairly quiet so perfect for cycling. LOVE the new toilet cleaning times in the afternoon - so much more sensible to do cleaning when residents are out, well done Sandringham staff hope the rest of the Club sites take note. That you Sandringham wardens, doing a great job, keep it up - see you in a couple of weeks.

Lovely Site

We don't usually stay on Club Sites; preferring C.L.s whenever possible. However as it was early in the season and we were concerned that the ground and access could be difficult, we decided to try Sandringham. The site was immaculate and peaceful and we had a lovely stay. We were there for birdwatching and visited several reserves including Sculthorpe Moor, near Fakenham, for the first time which we would highly recommend. The wardens were friendly and welcoming and we look forward to our next stay!

Not the Holiday we expected

We arrived on Sunday 19th March for a weeks stay we were given a warm welcome. Unfortunately on the Monday I started to feel unwell and by Tuesday things hadn't got any better and I was admitted to hospital for a few days. The wardens were very kind and never failed to enquire after my health on seeing my husband. We visit this site every year in March for our first week of the year caravanning, as it is a lovely site and is kept spotless. There is lots of things to do without travelling too far and we can highly recommend it.

Not what we expected

We are keen off road cyclists and having seen on the website it saying good for cycling, we booked a weeks stay at Sandringham. Unfortunately as soon as we got set up and were about to set off on our bikes we saw the sign saying NO cycling in the woods. We had quite wrongly assumed this site would be very similar to Clumber Park, where you can cycle through the woods and grounds for miles. The web page for this site needs updating to read ROAD cycling ONLY. There were no signs near Park House to say no cycling so visitors could just turn up and cycle without knowing the ruling.

Excellent site - and excellent wardens

We spent two nights here as part of our March " Grand Tour of Relations"! We received a warm welcome with lots of humour, but also attention to detail of the facilities we might need. From our point of view, the site is well placed for what we need, and the facilities were up to the usual high standard expected (Though we did note that some maintenance was scheduled for a weekend, which we thought would have been a busy time; but if it needs doing, it needs doing!) We were impressed with the hours the wardens put in, and the variety of tasks they got through. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay - we'll be back.

Great Start to the season

This is one of our favourite club sites, perfect for this beautiful part of Norfolk and not too distant from our home for a long weekend break. It has good sized, level, gravel pitches, decently spaced. My only criticism is that some pitches are positioned directly opposite another outfit, rather than being staggered a touch. The toilet blocks are good, albeit of an older configuration and they are spotlessly maintained. The new wardens were polite, welcoming, friendly and very helpful - an asset to the site and the club. There is always lots to see and do in this part of Norfolk, whatever the weather. This time we were blessed with wall to wall sunshine for 4 days, taking advantage of some great walks by the coast. A little patch of heaven!
