Perfect site!

A must visit! Were going to say 2 nights but stayed 4 nights! Gorgeous site, facilities and well groomed grounds. Lovely wardens too. Gorgeous surroundings and walk to the Sandringham Estate. So much Press there due to the Harry/Meghan decision being discussed there. All in all, this site is fabulous, well worth a visit.

Site, Location & Facilities Perfect

This is our 3rd Visit to the site over the last 3 years. We love it when its this peaceful at this time of the year. Pity 1 member on our second morning decided to start packing up at 5.30am with total disregard for other members - It really is time the Club Adopted CCC Rules of No Vehicle Movement after 11pm & B4 7am as a small minority seem oblivious & disrespectful to others using the sites. Facilities spotless & working perfectly so why so many whinges of "Facilities Need Updating" - Why waste club money, if these facilities are a problem to anyone they should be Booking a Hotel instead or staying at home. Fabulous weather for our Jan 2020, 7 night stay and a stunning location to explore this part of Norfolk. Once again a 5* visit, except for being woken unnecessarily early.so 4* logged.

Well worth a visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed a couple of nights stay. Very well maintained grounds with spotless toilet and shower facilities. The managers were very friendly and welcoming. Even though the Sandringham Estate was largely closed, the walks through the surrounding countryside are a treat.

Christmas And New Year At Sandringham

We arrived at Sandringham the week before Christmas on a grey foggy day and received a very warm welcome from Mark and Steve. It was our third visit to this peaceful site which is situated in woodland and is well maintained by wardens Mark & Steve, Deb and Steve and extended with winter wardens Sal & Steve. That's a lot of Steve's! This was our first Christmas here and a lot of effort had been put into making it look festive. There were tasteful lights in the trees at the site entrance, around the reception building and several other features on the site. Many caravans and motorhomes (including us) also had lights and decorations which looked really pretty during the dark evenings. There was a social party hosted by the wardens on Christmas eve and new year's eve which was really nice. It gave an opportunity to meet up with fellow visitors and a rare chance to see the wardens glammed up in their best clothes. Music was provided by DJ's Corner Steady Steve and the The Awesome Elsan Man. Deb and Sal gave energetic encouragement to those who wished to dance but I declined. To me, body popping is the noise that my joints make when I get up in the morning. On Christmas day we had a bright frosty walk through the woods to Sandringham church and saw the royals attending the morning service, quite a spectacle. We returned to our cosy caravan and had Christmas dinner making it a very special day to be touring. Although winter there was stil plenty to see and do in the area. Some enjoyable winter walks on the beaches gave a different perspective on what we had experienced earlier in the year and visiting towns in the area gave an opportunity to see the festive decorations. How to sum up our visit this time? A lovely spacious site in a great location. We will be returning in the summer and have already booked next Christmas and new year. If you haven't been to this site I recommend that you give it a try, it's maintained to a high standard and you will be made very welcome.

Lovely site

We have stayed on this site a few times and always have a good stay. We stayed over Christmas and the wardens had worked hard to make it a memorable stay, the site was decorated with festive lights and organised a really lovely drinks and nibbles event on Christmas Eve. They worked on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The only gripe is the facilities, always clean and spotless and a testament to the wardens, but they (the facilities not the wardens!) are looking tired and old and desperate for an upgrade. Site set in the Sandringham Estate and a nice walk to the visitor centre, good news as the Visitor Centre are planning on charging parking fees from 2020. Kings Lynn, Hunstanton and the North Norfolk coast are all within easy distance.

A Wonderful Christmas

Stayed here for a week over Christmas and a special mention must go to the Wardens for making everyone's stay special. They had really made an effort to decorate the site and the light show was something to behold! Christmas Eve 'drinks and nibbles' was a full-blown buffet and they must have spent hours preparing it - so a big thank you for all your hard work and you achieved your objective in getting most people on site to mix and chat with each other. This is our third trip to Sandringham and the improvement in 'atmosphere' is noticeable since the present Wardens arrived. We enjoy this site because, unlike some on the network, the pitches are large and well spaced out and the walks along the adjacent forest paths are ideal for dog owners. A suggestion - a dog wash would be appreciated (as per Chatsworth etc) since at this time of year, muddy paws abound! One frustration - nothing to do with the site management - phone signals on both EE and 3 were almost non-existent - so be aware. In terms of local attractions, we learned from a local that the Estate is about to start charging for car parking at the Visitor Centre, from April. £3 for 2 hours and £5 all day. We didn't get to see the Royal family on Christmas morning since the prospect of battling with 2000 others put us off, slightly. All in all - a wonderful Christmas break and we're about to book for next Christmas!

Return Visit to Sandringham

We moved from Seacroft, where we had lovely, if cold weather, to a rather wet Sandringham. There was a jolly reception from the guys in the office. Although it didn't interest me they had obviously made an effort for the kids for Halloween which I am sure they enjoyed, the kids that is! Had we had better weather I am sure we would have used the hourly bus service from outside the site to Kings Lynn. We could have equally gone the other way to Sandringham House but unfortunately it closed for the season a week or so earlier although I understand the cafe and visitors centre is still open. Facility wise Sandringham still has the heavy metal drain covers for the motorhome waste point. The good news is that it seems the upper toilet block is due for a refurbishment which will include an open grill waste point and also the possibility of a second waste point being installed, so something to look forward to in the future. Club WiFi often infuriates me as on some sites it won't allow me to log-in to the point where more often than not I use my own data. This is not so easy at this site as there is little 4G signal available. However for some reason I was able to log in immediately to the Club WiFi on this site which was good and it proved a reliable signal. Surely it can't be the lack of a 4G signal that has allowed me to log in? No doubt it will remain a mystery!

Lovely Site & Staff

Visiting for the 2nd time, received a warm welcome from the on duty Warden. Chose our pitch and started setting up before seeing we weren't getting a tv signal from the post, Warden attended, tested and found a fault in our cable, took the cable away, and reterminated it. Fantastic service considering he could have just advocated us getting a new cable which they sell in the Site Shop. Many thanks.

What a lovely place

This was the first time we'd stayed at a Club site after only having the MoHo for a couple of weeks in early October. The site is in an ideal spot for exploring the North end of the Norfolk coast with nearby beaches at Hunstanton, Holkham and Wells. The site is lovely and clean, on arrival we were given the choice of pitches with many being level so no ramps needed. Two shower/toilet blocks with full washing facilities and a MoHo waste spot too. Can't think of anything negative. Theres even a chip van comes to the gate on Saturday Night, think he comes also on Mondays and Wednesdays, well recommended. Also a Pizza van delivers but didn't see that. Lots of walks up to Sandringham House and also to Wolferton where you can see the old Royal Station where the royals stopped when visiting. Will visit again!

Our most Visited Site

We just keep coming back to this site because of the location, the peace and quiet and the excellent way the site is run. It is always a pleasure to visit here. I have read some quite negative reviews about the facilities, but to be honest I have to disagree with them. Yes, the facilities are not the most up to date décor, but they are functional and very well cared for. I haven't had cause for complaint at all, except to say that the shower hose in the disabled adapted shower of the top block needs replacing as it leaks, and reduces the shower water pressure coming out of the head. B&Q will supply a replacement for a tenner. If you can't get into one of the toilets, surely everyone with a caravan or motorhome has their own, so no need to stand queueing, as one of the reviews has mentioned. Nowhere is absolutely perfect, but I think that this place comes really close. Ignore the negative comments and give it a go. You will certainly not regret it.
