Excellent stay

Well spaced pitches all on gravel, lots of good walks in the adjacent woods (no cycling) but lots of quiet roads around the estate and further. We walked to Sandringham house and from there got the bus to Hunstanton. The return bus stopped right outside the campsite. Toilet block wasnt heated which the wardens were trying to sort out. Wood Fired Pizza top pepperoni.

Relaxing site

Spent 7 nights here, one of our favourite sites. Pitched at the top as busy and not much choice of pitches. We were rewarded with a deer coming out to feed on the grass a couple of times and also seeing one in the ferns. Safe check in, one in one out. Unable to comment on facilities as always use our own. Fish and chip van excellent, won’t be having the pizza again. Looking forward to returning.

Favourite Site

We have been to this site many times and it has become one of our favourites. Its location is superb, not only for its immediate surrounding area but also for its proximity to the Norfolk coast. We are living through strange times of course but the site staff seem to have things under control. So, visiting the Sandringham Site, especially in the glorious weather we experienced, can still be peaceful, restful and safe. Despite the pleasure of simply being here, I really do hope that the new type of Motorhome waste point can be introduced shortly. They do make life easier, especially as many members are now using their own shower facilities. Finally, Snettisham is mentioned in the Site leaflet. Motorhome and Campervan users please note that Snettisham Beach car park had a height restriction at the time of our visit and no realistic turning space for a quick change of direction.

Lovely site but Be Careful with your dogs

We visited the site from the 11th September until the 14th, I have no complaints about the site it is well maintained and we had a lovely relaxing & peaceful stay. However I do think the signs warning of dogs getting ill after going in the woods need to be updated, I had my little yorkie Albie with me and my friend had her Poodle & Patterdale with her, we took them for a walk in the woods and 72 hours later all three had Diarrhoea & severe vomiting, they all had to go to the vets and Albie ( being so tiny) was kept in overnight on a drip and intravenous antibiotics. It will not stop us visiting the site as we do really like it but I just wanted to warn people to be careful with their dogs. Mandy

Quite relaxing site

This is a lovely quite site. Pitches are very spacious and includes t.v point which was very useful since tv reception was poor. Wardens very helpful and polite. Top block washing facilities need upgrading. Enjoyed walking through the woods to Sandringham House. This is a brilliant site, we will be returning!

Sunny Sandringham

This site is in a fantastic location for touring the North Norfolk coast, there are great walking routes direct from the site and you can walk through the woods to the Sandringham Estate. The cycle ways are also great, we did the Sandringham Loop, which is about 25 miles in total, however there are plenty of shorter and longer routes to follow as well. The reason I gave the facilities only a 3 is because there are only 2 toilet blocks for the whole site, which is not nearly enough in my opinion, especially as they were only letting 2 people in at a time, so if you had 2 people showering, there was a queue for the toilets. The block at the top of the site is also a very dated and the water in my opinion not particularly warm. The wardens were very helpful and knowledgable of the area. We also had no problem with the TV reception, we did not use the club WiFi as our 4G was ok. There is a fish and chip van 3 times a week, which we didn’t use, so can’t comment and a Wood fired Pizza van once a week, which we did use and it was very good.

Beautiful location

I can't comment on the families side as I was solo this time, but Im sure it would be lovely due to all the wildlife and bug palaces etc! There were loads of rabbits running about and owls shrieking - only thing was that something (maybe a fox?) woke the dog in the middle of the night - thankfully he didn't bark but he did growl which woke me up! But that's nature for you so it's not a complaint - just something to be aware of! Wasn't there long enough to properly explore but will definitely go back to do the woodland walk to the Sandringham Estate and a lovely base for touring... Facilities felt a bit cramped and only two allowed in at a time and some people not using the wristband system which was a bit unnerving... but in all other respects an excellent site with friendly wardens.

Lovely site!

We stayed over the August Bank Holiday and had visited a non-Caravan Club site for a few nights, which has won several awards, before coming to Sandringham on our way home for one night. We both said we wish we had stayed at Sandringham the whole time!! I do not know what it is but this site just has a really nice feel about it. Yes, the toilet block is tired and needs updating, and there are no serviced pitches but there is just that nice feeling. All the Club Staff were really friendly and all the visitors were really nice. We struggled a bit to work out how to get to Sandringham Visitor Centre and the House on foot as you do not have much phone signal and it is not very well sign-posted so we would ask the site to consider perhaps providing a map with this information if possible. It was quite easy once we worked it out but as a first time visitor, it was a little confusing! We have already booked to come back as we loved it so much.

Comment from the Club:

We are so pleased you enjoyed the site and that you have booked to come again. The Site Staff wanted to let you know for next time that the estate very kindly provides us with a great map to give out to our guests and they also have printed instructions. This is available from the info room and from reception.

A very enjoyable stay

We received a very friendly welcome at the site. Check in was smooth and safe. A very peaceful location with good sized pitches ideally situated to walk directly through the woods to Sandringham House and Gardens. The wardens were very helpful with lots of advice about bus timetables and possible walks and cycle rides in the area. There is lots to do - we cycled the Ingoldisthorpe Explorer Loop on the Norfolk Coast Cycleway which was a lovely ride through local villages with great views over The Wash. We also visited Sandringham House and Gardens which was very well organised. We had a couple of issues in that the Wifi was so slow that we gave up trying to use it and, despite all the brilliant measures taken on site to ensure social distancing in the facilities, there were one or two people who didn't think the rules applied to them and just walked straight in bypassing the queue. These didn't spoil our stay though and it is a site that we would love to return to one day.
