This is a lovely Site

It is in a stunning location, there are 20 new, spacious hardstandings. It is beautifully kept by the Wardens Sally & Martin who clearly love their Site and will give you warm welcome. Why are people complaining that there is no toilet block? It is no secret, read the Site Directory ! Great Pub opposite too.Good food at a reasonable price & staff as friendly as the Wardens.

Haven of Peace

As usual we received an excellent welcome from the warden. This is a difficult site to get to and I don't envy caravan owners their journey. The site is flat and has many hard standing pitches. These are not quite level but only require slight adjustment. There are grass pitches but these were not in use due to the wet underfoot conditions. The big drawback to this site is there is no toilet block. We stayed three nights using our own facilities but any longer would have been a strain with almost daily getting and emptying water and dealing with the toilet cassette. Apart from that it is a very quiet and beautiful site, all the better for being quite small. There were several walks so good for dogs (there was an area for dogs on site) but due to the number of sheep always on a lead. A good experience.

Who wants to pitch on mud?

A crowded site in a very nice area of the North York Moors. The big problem is noise from the unrestricted road adjacent to the site and the lack of drainage and hard standing. Why the CC thinks that muddy grass pitches are acceptable in 2018 is beyond me. The facilities are well kept and clean. There is no internet nor mobile signals.

First Visit

I do not usually stay at club sites without a washroom, but due to a last minute change of plans I was able to get away for a couple of days. SO GLAD I found this amazing site. I primarily need a Club Site as a base for hill walking and what a fantastic location this is. Right in the heart of the NY Moors I enjoyed some of the best walks of this year. The site itself is fantastic. The service points are lovely and clean and easily accessible from the pitch. The new hard standing pitches are amazingly flat - No levelling required at al! The wardens here are some of the best ive met - So friendly and helpful. The pub over the road is handy for WIFI and a cheeky beer. The village is 5 mins walk and has a tea shop and a shop and also a public toilet if your missing the porcelain. Will definitely be back soon,

Great site and weekend away despite the typical bank holiday weather

This was our first visit to this lovely site over the bank holiday weekend and despite the truly awful weather we still had a great weekend. Big shout out the site wardens who helped everyone as much as possible faced with the adverse weather, big puddles and lots of mud. We luckily dropped on an all weather pitch on arrival due to other members going home early. Definitely on our list of favourite sites in the terms of location, peach and quiet, access to an amazing bakery and other local amenities. Hearing the owls at night was an added bonus.

Second visitor since upgrade

This site has been in Rosedale for years but has recently had a good number of large hard standing pitches added. Plus two very good service points. The Wardens are outstanding but our stay was slightly effected by the overly loud music from the pub opposite on the Saturday night until gone 11.00pm. The site would certainly benefit from a small toilet block but otherwise very pleasant and will improve as the groundworks consolidate.

The MOST Helpful Warden Ever

Just had a lovely weekend at the site....grass was waterlogged so stayed on the tarmac road which wasn't an issue at all - Arrived late but the Warden couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. Great location and close to good food and real ale - heaven

shame about the weather

we have just returned from a weeks stay on the site, we very nearly left after the first night!! rain and yet more rain, there is nothing the club or wardens can do about that, but trying to keep the mud out of the van was a job, I see that the plan is to install some hard standing pitches if this is given the go ahead then this will make this site just about perfect, we had some fantastic walk over the moors, a truly wonderful place when it stops raining,

Peaceful well kept site - gorgeous.

Loved this site. The lack of facilities made it perfect for not attracting children and families. Nice and flat, well kept, drive over waste disposal, full electric hook up and fresh water; what more do you need ? We have a fully equipped motor home so no toilet or shower facilities didn't bother us at all. The pub across the road is ok but its worth walking up the steep hill for the views from the other one (and the staff are friendlier).

nice place

just spent the Bank holiday weekend there first time for me there with my little camper and my 2 dogs ,nice wardens and when I booked in said I could park sideways on the pitch as I've only a small camper so I was up in the top corner to the left ,near the road but noise doesn't bother me not sure if it's good for families as don't think there is much to do for youngsters but then I suppose you would have to go out and about ,nice village only 1 pub open as the other is closed for a refurb found some nice walks for anyone that has dogs ,can't comment on the pub as I not go in there isn't a shower block on site so you have to use your own ,I will return to this lovely site as I had a lovely relaxing weekend
