Excellent site

Stayed for 7 nights in July 2016. Excellent site with beautiful views. Very quiet, peaceful and relaxed. Toilets, showers, washrooms etc absolutely pristine, as were all other facilities. The warden and his wife were very friendly and extremely helpful. You will need rock pegs to nail down your awning as the ground is very hard. We will definitely stay at The Firs again.

Wonderful View

We had 3 nights at The Firs. The pitch was spacious and well kept. The toilet block was well appointed and spotless and the wardens very helpful. We found the Dog walking a little restricted, lot's of road but found a nice walk nearby. The view from this site is wonderful and well worth a visit. I don't think our grandchildren would have had much to do here as it is a very quiet site. But we will definitely visit again.

Cute

Cute little site, great sized serviced pitches. Good wc facilities. The only downside for us was the dog walking, it was alot of roads or fields with livestock and had to be on a lead alot. So not as much freedom as he is used too. But we did enjoy our time here, the site is very pretty.

March stopover

A small but pleasant site. Large, level pitches well set out. Good, clean and well maintained facilities and nice friendly staff. Set in beautiful surroundings but a bit far off the beaten track. One pub close by serving food and drink with several more approx. 30 minute walk away.

A most enjoyable stay in our caravan.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well kept caravan site. Really friendly, helpful staff and very dog friendly. Overlooking beautiful Derbyshire countryside - it is an ideal location for visiting many places of interest for both families and couples. My son and I went on a bike ride to nearby Heage, with its windmill and excellent pub - all in walking distance. Belper is also a lovely town to visit nearby and has a Morrisons. Looking forward to our next visit :)

Outstanding views

We stayed at this site on our way home to Gloucestershire for 1 night. The road is a little bit of a nightmare to get to this very well kept neat & tidy site & the Warden's were very kind & knowledgeable about the area. We tried to park our caravan as close to the view of the surrounding countryside, but unfortunately there were none available, but the view's were very outstanding. There was quite a lot of noise from speeding cars & heavy lorries, but well worth the stay.  The facilities on this site itself was immaculate. Would stay here again if ever this way.

Site with views of ONB

The rear of the site has views of outstanding natural beauty in the countryside. Idealic site that is the real essence of what the club is all about. The only fly in the ointment is daytime traffic noise but with superb classic facilities, great pitch choices tirelessly looked after by the wardens, this site is a must.

Little gem

We stayed here at end of May for one week and will definitely go back again, the views from the site are stunning with a good choice of pitches and peace and quiet. Access to many areas of interest is easy and a 10 minute walk to takes you to a great dog friendly pub with superb home cooked food, beware the steep hill if you are walking back though! My nephew did complain of lack of facilities for children and I have to agree. No play area, but he and his friends managed. The cleanliness and up keep of this site is a credit to the wardens.

Lovely site

This is a lovely site with great views from some pitches.  The toilets were spotless and the wardens work really hard to keep everything up to scratch.a credit to them both. However we booked a service pitch and we found that our water hose which is a standard size and has fitted no problem on other sites did not reach the taps on either side of the pitches. The water is not in the middle of the pitch and on some is alongway away.  You need to take an extension for some, please can this be mentioned on the website so others can be forewarned.   The site is great and we did enjoy our stay, just spoiled slightly  by us  having to move pitch to accommodate the water!!
