A favourite site

Tewkesbury is a beautiful and interesting place to visit. We've been many times, and the campsite is perfect. Friendly, helpful staff, spotless facilities. It's almost worth coming just for a really good shower!

Lovely clean site

Lovely clean site, wardens friendly. Toilet block was kept clean and cleaning times were adhered to. Easy access from the M5 overall a pleasant stay.

Here again.

Easy to find and nice wide entrance. Good to pick pitch then pay.only need to climb steps once !! Grass which makes a nice change.poor access to good toilet block.one lot steps and one ramp.each end of the balcony. Water collects so care needed. Really inconsiderate couple 2 evenings sat outside with small yapping dog.I was just going to go over and comment when someone else did.good job or I might have told them what I thought of them and their dog !! Site handy for town and buses. Shrubbery looking mess in places.could do with a tidy up before it all starts growing again. As with all sites getting expensive .especially when we pay annual membership as well.

Revelation!

We have just spent a few days at this site, as our daughter was singing with her choir - visiting from Kings Lynn - in the Abbey. The site is just a few minutes walk from the abbey and the beautiful town of Tewkesbury. The site is only a few minutes from the M5, so is easy to get at, and I would guess is a great stopover site for those travelling to or from the west country. Although it was fully booked when we were there, the site still felt peaceful and quiet. The site is kept spotlessly clean and is regularly patrolled by wardens. The staff are without exception friendly and helpful. The facilities are very modern and clean and I was impressed by the plentiful hot water in the showers. Until recently, I hadn't set foot in a caravan since I was a child. Crikey, things have moved on! Cold, wet, miserable holidays on the Isle of Wight in grotty fixed caravans had, I thought, marked me for life - Tewkesbury Abbey Club Campsite has been a revelation. This caravanning lark's not so bad, after all!

Great location

What a lovely well kept site. We booked it as a stop over from travelling to Cornwall with 3 children and we only regretted not booking longer to stay there. The toilets were probably the cleanest of all the sites we've stayed on. There were some giant games for the children to play near reception which the children loved and a big public park and playing field just outside of the site . Lovely view of the Abbey on an evening. The wardens were very friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be coming back.

Excellent site in the heart of England handy for an overnight stop-over or longer break.

This well kept site in the shadow of Tewkesbury Abbey is ideal for walks through the lovely medieval town and along the river banks. The wardens are friendly and efficient and maintain the site well, with the famous flowers at the entrance.

Mostly Great...

This is a lovely site, beautiful entrance with pretty floral displays and ideally situated for the M5 and exploring the area. Pitches are clean and tidy, though some areas feel a little conjested. The facilities are good with plenty of showers and toilets and there are lots of areas for drinking water, bins etc Now unfortunately our experience for relaxation was somewhat spoiled by the enforcer of the rules, who seemed very grumpy and stated pitch instructions with no social pleasantaries whatsoever ,then circles round on a small bike checking we are all parked correctly etc his head swivelling side to side. I thought he'd had an off day- but was the same on our return. I understand there have to be regulations but there are ways of talking to people without being confrontational. This is a busy site and we would definitely return as a stop over point and hope that next time we meet one of the other wardens who I'm sure are great!

We have just spent a Fantastic stay,

We have just had a fantastic 13 night stay on this site, the wardens Dawn, Mick and the rest of the team are always pleasant, helpful, and between them keep a very clean site, the greeting on arrival was lovely, the reception with the array of flowers is beautiful, the atmosphere on the site is pleasant and relaxing. We will be back, well done to all the wardens you are such a friendly bunch.

Deservedly popular site

Our second visit - last time was 20 years ago! Excellent location. Close to town amenities while remaining quiet. Lovely views of the Abbey. Really good idea to clean facilities in the afternoon, unlike other sites where you have to organise a morning relay around the closing times. Well stocked shop on site for basics. Helpful wardens. Very hard to fault and wont leave it so long till next visit.
