Favourite Site

Fantastic Site, always immaculately presented, very easy to get to, short walk to shops including one with an off licence just outside the entrance to the lane. Short walk to pubs/hotels where you can eat, including eating outside with the dog and Chip shops. All very convenient. Lovely walks with the dog including a very long one to the left along the river that half way spits you out at a church - which has public loos outside. Not surprising it attracts so many motorhomes due to convenient location beautiful area. Don't have children so thats harder to gauge although there is a big park with mowed fields just off the site with a large children play area looked like a skate boarding area etc in it as well. We were in a tent nice big pitches backed on to trees which again was handy to have half shade half sun in the evening - ideal with the dog. Always a warm welcome

Abbey Bells!

Just off the M5 and great location for walking into the lovely town of Tewkesbury with plenty of places to eat, museums etc. Views of the neighbouring Abbey. Park for children just outside the gate. However, wasn't very peaceful. The bells ring every quarter of an hour and Thursday night is bell ringing practice from 7.30-9.00pm - and it's loud!! The other 2 nights of our stay were disturbed by the rugby club which also borders the site. All pitches are grass, which makes the job of keeping the aging toilet blocks clean a difficulty. Some quite sloping and uneven pitches, so levelling blocks required.

Over Night Stay

Stayed at this site for just one night well situated close to town centre which can cause some noise from music from local pubs, but it was really warm night and sound travels along way. Compact Site as-well but well kept site.

A great club site

Excellent site have visited it many times. Dawn and mick the wardens have a great knowledge of the area and offer good advice on where to eat, shop and visit. Go to Gloucester queys well worth a visit and parking is only £2 on Sunday all day

Excellent location for Tewkesbury and surrounding area

Lovely site, will visit again. Good location for shops, walks, places to eat. Visit the Abbey early when it opens and have the place to yourself. Sudeley castle and Croome park well worth visiting.

Always a warm welcome

Always a lovely site to stay at, warm welcome and this year reception looks exceptional with all the flowers and hanging baskets. It is always worth staying a while in Tewkesbury as there is a lot to see and do.

GREAT WEEKEND

After travelling for 3hours in the worst rain ever we got to the site and the wardens were friendly and helpful, we have been before but not with our family and friends , so it was really nice to be able to pitch together.   Reception was beautiful with all the lovely flower displays and hanging baskets . Site is kept pristine, but the only let down is the toilet block s they need updating desperately they were always kept clean by the wardens, its just the age and over use of the toilet the blocks

A lovely site

A great site with probably one of the prettiest reception we have ever seen - worth a visit just to see the flowers (Aug) Just a stones throw away from the town, it is great for a nice meal or drink in the many pubs and restaurants. It is also great for a stopover on a longer journey as literally 5 mins off the M5. PEACEFUL AND QUIET in school holidays. We will definitely return

Wonderful Site

I know this site is convenient for travellers en route to other pastures but it is a fantastic site for parking the car / motorhome and relaxing for 3 or 4 days without the need to explore further than the town with its unique architectural style and easily accessible  river walks. The site is well run and beautifully maintained. The wardens are friendly and helpful. There is a large turnover of Vans and people and this seems to add a vibrant air to the site. We have stayed at the site at least once a year since we started caravanning / motor homing in 2005 and will continue! Luv it! Luv it! Luv it!

Ideal location/stop over

This site is ideally located just off the M5, perfect stop over if you are travelling down south or up north, this does seem a very busy site with campers only staying the one night, facilities are dated and shower cubicles not particularly big, however always clean and plenty of hot water. There are no dog walks or children's play area but there is a very large park just outside the main site entrance. We pitched near the exit on the left hand side, very nice flat pitch, only gripe is it backs on to the local Rugby club so be prepared for the rowdy kick out time!! Perfectly located for the town that has an abundance of shops, pubs and antiques, the local farmers market on Saturday is well worth a look round this is situated in the car park by Tewkesbury Abbey. This is a site we would gladly stay at again.
